Trek Top Fuel 9.9 XX1 AXS
$9,999.99 - $10,499.99

This is Trek's answer to the question: Who makes a world-beating cross-country mountain bike that can handle marathon-length events?

The Top Fuel 9.9 could be the best full-suspension XC racer on the planet. It's absurdly light at less than 25 pounds (!!) when set up tubeless. The main frame and rear suspension arms are all made from Trek's exclusive OCLV Mountain carbon fiber, bringing incredible strength to handle every pedal stroke over rough trails. Every aspect of the main frame has been optimised for high performance without adding pounds. The frame's Straight Shot downtube eliminates plenty of material while enhancing torsional strength. Don't worry, the fork crown won't whack the down tube during a crash, thanks to a clever Knock Block steerer stop at the top of the head tube. Out back, the Active Braking Pivot (or ABP) full suspension geometry isolates braking forces from suspension movement, so every gnarly downhill hairpin won't feel like a major test of your riding talents. Control Freak internal cable routing, a tapered head tube, and downtube-mounted Carbon Armor are examples of the details that make every Trek Top Fuel mountain bike a clear leader in XC racing machines.

The air-adjustable RockShox Pike Ultimate suspension fork helps to tame rock gardens and challenging course features with ease. 120mm of travel soaks up impacts, while a bar-mounted lockout twist-lever shuts off the shock when charging along hardpan and jeep doubletrack. The rear shock is also a RockShox Deluxe Ultimate unit, bringing 115mm of travel and the aforementioned lockout function.

Trek chose SRAM's best off-road drivetrain for the Top Fuel 9.9: 12-speed Eagle AXS. Yes, this is the wireless shifting SRAM drivetrain for mountain bikes. Powered by a rechargeable Li-Ion battery, every shift is perfect. Every. Single. Time. The XX1 AXS rear derailleur can handle hard pedaling loads and poorly-timed shifts with ease. Plus, there's no shift cable or housing to get nasty in messy conditons! Cool, huh? A 10-50T SRAM Eagle rear cassette boasts a massive gearing range for roller-coaster trails and courses. Power delivery is done through a carbon fiber SRAM XX1 Eagle crankset with a 32T single direct-mount chainring.

Bontrager supplies the tubeless-ready OCLV carbon fiber Kovee Pro 30 wheelset. The 30mm-wide internal rim width allows the tire to spread out for better trail contact, enhancing lateral grip and lower rolling resistance. Boost110/148 thru-axle hubs improve lateral rigidity, while a Rapid Drive 108 rear freehub makes pedaling response lightning-quick. With a total wheelset weight of only 1500 grams (without tires or cassette), the Top Fuel 9.9 will leap out of corners and hairpins like a jackrabbit!  Bontrager's 29x2.4" XR3 Team Issue tires are also tubeless-ready, bringing bags of grip to any trail surface. SRAM Level Ultimate hydraulic disc brakes boast excellent stopping power in all conditions, rain or shine (or mud).

The Top Fuel 9.9's RockShox Reverb AXS dropper post is just as high-performance as the rest of the bike. It's wireless, using a bar-mounted remote lever for clean installation, and uses the same rechargeable battery as the SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS rear derailleur. A carbon-railed Montrose Pro saddle, Kovee Pro stem, OCLV carbon fiber Line Pro handlebar complete this world-beating off-road racer.

A SRAM eTap AXS battery charger is included with the purchase of this bicycle.

This bicycle can be ordered through Trek's Project One program. Tens of thousands of color and component configurations can be ordered, making the Top Fuel 9.9 AXS uniquely your own. Please call for details.

Trek Supercaliber 9.9 XTR
$9,000.00 - $9,500.00
When the mechanic who built this bike for Machinery Row wanted to take it home on the spot, the staff payed attention! After years of building hot-rod XC bikes, this one is something special! The Supercaliber 9.9 XTR is the finest cross-country mountain bike that Trek has ever made. Weighing in at only 20.7 pounds (that was not a misprint), the Supercaliber 9.9 XTR climbs like a crazed goat, and is as nimble as a hummingbird around a race course. Trek started with their proven OCLV Mountain carbon fiber recipe and built a feather-light frame that took three years to develop. Input from World Cup and Olympic athletes ensured it was an uncompromising off-road racer from the outset. The rear shock is cleverly built into the top tube, reducing weight, improving suspension response, and eliminating power-robbing flex. Called IsoStrut, the rear suspension geometry boasts 60mm of travel to soak up impacts on technical courses. Fox built the air-adjustable Factory shock exclusively for the Supercaliber, making it the only adjustable "soft tail" platform at the World Cup level. A tapered head tube and oversized PF92 bottom bracket brace each end of the down tube, enhancing power delivery and handling. The down tube is also perfectly straight for lightness, but is protected from crash damage from a spinning fork crown by KnockBlock headset stop. Internal cable routing was so obsessed over, they called it Control Freak. Up front, an air-adjustable RockShox SID SL Ultimate suspension fork keeps the front wheel planted over technical trails and race courses. There's a lockout lever on the handlebar that can shut off both ends of the suspension when charging down fire roads and paved sections. Shimano's 12-speed XTR components have been equally obsessed over, and are a perfect match to a world-class chassis. An adjustable clutch in the rear derailleur helps keep the chain engaged while powering over rough washboard surfaces. The single-ring XTR crankset boasts hollow arms and profiled chainring teeth for better chain retention. The massive 10-51T XTR cassette uses a clever mixture of aluminum, titanium and steel cogs for durability as well as weight reduction. Hydraulic disc brakes feature 1-piece aluminum calipers and magnesium master cylinders for precise performance and very low weight. The Supercaliber's rolling stock needed to be as high-performance as the rest of the bike. With Bontrager's tubeless-ready carbon fiber Kovee XXX wheels, that part is covered. How well? How about 1290 grams for the bare wheelset! An OCLV carbon fiber rim and DT Swiss Aerolite straight-pull spokes provide a smooth feel and sprightly acceleration. A 29mm wide internal rim profile allows the tire to spread out for lower rolling resistance and better handling. DT Swiss supplies the 240 hubs as well, ensuring fast engagement and durability over many miles of training and racing. Bontrager also supplies the 29x2.20" XR2 Team Issue tubeless-ready tires, bringing low rolling resistance and bags of grip to the Supercaliber 9.9. Trek didn't cut a single corner with the Supercaliber 9.9. The Bontrager Kovee XXX handlebar and XXX seatpost are both made from OCLV carbon fiber for very light weight and high strength. Even the Montrose Pro saddle boasts carbon fiber rails to keep overall weight low. This bicycle can be customized with Trek's Project One program. From paint to components, all aspects of this bicycle can be customized for a bicycle that is uniquely your own. Please call for details.

Trek Top Fuel 9.7

Cross-country mountain bikes have slowly changed over the seasons, with riders expecting more out of their machines. More challenging courses, longer race distances and the desire for a smoother ride has boosted the need for a slightly more limo-like ride. Enter the Top Fuel 9.7 for 2021!

The concept of short-distance, non-technical mountain bike races has frankly gotten a bit tired. Riders want to race the course more than race other riders bar-to-bar. More demanding race courses mean hardtails and short-travel full-suspension machines might be in over their heads. As more riders plan to stay in the saddle for over two hours, the bike needs to be up to the task. "Marathon" events are more prevalent, leading riders to seek longer-travel trail bikes instead of nimble hardtails. Is there a "compromise bike" that does everything well? The Top Fuel 9.7 is exactly that bike. Cross-country mountain bikes need to be lightweight, and the Top Fuel 9.7 starts with the right "backbone": An OCLV Mountain carbon fiber main frame with OCLV Mountain carbon fiber rear stays. Light weight, incredible torsional strength and rugged construction all make for a brilliant chassis to build a bike around. A tapered head tube anchors the fork, adding an extra dash of handling precision, while a press-fit PF92 bottom bracket ensures flex-free power delivery. That totally straight (and ultra strong!) down tube might be concerning to longtime off-road riders, but not to worry. The Top Fuel 9.7 won't get a dent in the down tube from the fork crown in the event of a crash, thanks to an integrated steering limiter called Knock Block. A keyed headset component keeps the fork from spinning too far, resulting in a damaged frame. Control Freak internal routing manages cables and brake hosing, keeping the Top Fuel 9.7 rattle-free and looking clean. Out back, Trek's exclusive Active Braking Pivot (or ABP) rear suspension geometry isolates pedaling force from suspension movement, espcially during hard braking. No energy is lost, and every bump is handled. Period. The upper rocker link that connects to the rear shock is made from magnesium, keeping weight very low and also eliminating lateral binding on the shock for faster bump response. The reverseable Mino Link pivot points at the top of the rear seat stays allow the rider to change the bike's geometry slightly. Upright and nimble? Lower and slacker? It only takes one tool on the trail side to change the bike's personality.

The rear suspension boasts 115mm of travel (and not the usual 90-100mm), offering the rider a more forgiving feel over technical trails and down rocky descents. The air-adjustable Fox Performance Float shock can be shut off with a bar-mounted TwistLock lever, bringing a more road-like feel on pavement and hardpan. Up front, an air-adjustable RockShox Reba RL suspension fork features 120mm of travel, helping to keep the Top Fuel 9.7 where you point it in rock gardens and root "fun houses". The fork is also connected to the same TwistLoc lockout lever, making that operation simple.

The drivetrain of XC racing machines need to offer a wider gearing range on longer, more challenging courses. The 12-speed single-ring drivetrain of the Top Fuel 9.7 brings a massive range to the party with a 10-50T SRAM cassette. A SRAM NX Eagle shifter and NX Eagle derailleur adds lightning-fast operation to every gear change, even under hard pedaling loads. A SRAM NX Eagle alloy crankset and 32T SRAM single chainring keeps things simple and light while helping to deliver power without wasteful flex.

The rolling stock of the Top Fuel 9.7 needed to be light as well as durable. Bontrager's alloy Kovee Comp 23 wheels and Team Issue XR3 29x2.40" tires are tubeless-ready, offering a light feel and grippy traction for effortless maneuvering in tight singletrack. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes boast excellent stopping power and lever feedback in all conditions, rain or shine (or mud).

Here's something you don't usually see on a cross-country mountain bike: A dropper post. Bontrager equips the Top Fuel 9.7 with a Line Dropper seatpost, complete with bar-mounted remote lever. A Bontrager Montrose Comp saddle, alloy Rhythm Comp stem, and alloy Comp handlebar finish off this race-ready rig.

Trek Slash 8
Yes, this is the bike that has appeared on so many magazine covers and YouTube clips: The Slash 8. The Slash 8's geometry is designed for ugly drop-offs and rock gardens taken at speed. Despite the long-ish wheelbase, the Slash can handle hairpin turns with ease with dialed geometry. If the setup isn't quite to your liking, you can change it! Adjusting the bike's geometry is simple with the reversible Mino Link chips found at the top of the seat stays. By flipping the chips 180 degrees, the bottom bracket can be dropped by 7mm, and the head angle can be slackened to add stability on particularly hair-raising trails. Going uphill on the Slash 8 isn't difficult, either. Unlike so many "all-mountain" machines that feel like you're pushing cow up a fire escape, the Slash 8 isn't afraid of climbs, thanks to light weight and excellent gearing. The Slash 8's fast-rolling 29er wheels, 160mm RockShox Yari RC suspension fork, and Trek's exclusive RockShox Deluxe RT3 with Thru Shaft shock is a complete package. The rear suspension geometry uses Trek's Active Braking Pivot (or ABP) that is centered on the rear hub. Braking and pedaling forces are completely isolated, boasting total control no matter how hard the brakes are applied or how hard you pedal. The Slash 8's "backbone" is Trek's exclusive Alpha Platinum aluminum frame. The frame's immense torsional strength allows the Slash 8's suspension to perform perfectly, while clever features let you concentrate on the trail ahead. Features like Control Freak cable routing that prevents rattle on rough trails, and a Knock Block keyed headset that prevents the fork crown from damaging the frame in a fall. Cool, huh? SRAM's GX Eagle 12-speed shifter and rear derailleur operate across a 10-50T cassette. Yes, that's a 50T large cog! Power delivery is done through a Descendant 6k crankset with a 32T direct-mount chainring. The derailleur's Roller Bearing Clutch helps keep the chain engaged tightly, and not flying off during technical downhills. The Slash 8's Bontrager Line Comp 30 alloy wheels are tubeless-ready, and are shod with meaty 29x2.40" Bontrager XR4 Team Issue tires, bringing massive grip to the party. A Rapid Drive freehub allows for faster cassette engagement when pulling out of corners with minimal freeplay at the crank. SRAM's Guide R hydraulic disc brakes feature large pistons that manage heat better and provide better lever feedback. Bontrager's Line dropper post, Arvada saddle, Line alloy handlebar and stem complete this outstanding trail conquerer.

Trek Top Fuel 8

Full-suspension cross country mountain bikes have improved by leaps and bounds since the early 2000's, and many thought that perfection had been realized. But Trek had other ideas. The Top Fuel platform had been successful in many ways, but the suspension travel and other aspects of the bike seemed to limit riders looking for an "all-rounder" that would handle longer rides over rougher singletrack as well as race days. The Top Fuel 8 is built around an Alpha Platinum Aluminum frame, providing a strong chassis for effective power transfer while still keeping weight low. A press-fit PF92 bottom bracket ensures flex-free pedaling response during hard efforts. The frame's geometry is paired with a custom offset fork gives the Top Fuel 8 nimble handling at all speeds. A tapered head tube adds a precise steering feel, especially while charging through rock gardens. Even the frame's oversized downtube has been straightened out for lighter weight and improved strength. Preventing impacts on the downtube from the spinning fork crown during, er, rider error is a stem and headset insert called Knock Block. Trek's patented Active Braking Pivot (or ABP) rear suspension geometry allows for hard braking or furious pedaling without suspension movement or contraction. A magnesium rocker link found at the top of the suspension mount prevents torsional twisting while allowing the rear shock to respond better to hard bumps and rough landings. Refining the Top Fuel 8's geometry is easy, thanks to the adjustable Mino Links at the top of the seat stay arms. Two positions can change the bike's geometry for better handling over short, intense races or day-long marathon events on harsher trails. Fox supplies the air-adjustable Performance Float rear shock with 115mm of suspension travel. The suspension fork is an air-adjustable RockShox Recon Gold RL unit featuring a tapered steerer tube, 15mm thru-axle quick-release and 120mm of travel. Both fork and rear shock have a single remote lockout switch on the handlebar for hammering down fire roads. The fork and frame dropouts are designed with the new Boost110/148 wheel spacing in mind, adding torsional wheel stiffness for improved trail handling and feel.

The Trek Top Fuel 8 keeps high performance and verasatility equally in mind with its component list. SRAM's latest 12-speed NX Eagle shifter, NX Eagle rear derailleur and 11-50T NX Eagle cassette operate with incredible precision over a massive gearing range, even under hard pedaling loads. A SRAM NX Eagle crankset with a 32T chainring does power delivery duty. Bontrager's alloy Kovee Comp 23 wheelset is tubeless-ready and is shod with wider-than-usual 29x2.40" XR3 tubeless-ready Team Issue tires for confident grip in technical singletrack. Shimano's hydraulic disc brakes help reign in speed in all conditions, rain or shine. Bontrager also brings an Arvada saddle mounted on an alloy Line Dropper seatpost. A dropper post with bar-mounted remote isn't totally new to cross country mountain bikes, but the usefulness will be obvious at the first really steep descent.  An alloy Rhythm Comp stem and alloy Comp handlebar complete this epic-capable cross country machine.

Trek Top Fuel 8 NX

Trek Fuel EX 8 29
$3,149.00 $3,449.00 9% Off

Trek's Fuel EX line has exactly what the rest of the mountain bike world has been chasing: Award-winning performance.

The Fuel EX 8 29 is a rolling technology demonstrator. Everything that Trek does well in mountain bikes, you'll find on the Fuel EX 8. A rugged, super-strong frame built with Trek's hydroformed Alpha Platinum aluminum ensures immediate power delivery and suspension response. A press-fit PF92 bottom bracket keeps the crankset flex-free, while a tapered head tube helps keep the front wheel aimed where you point it. Need a world-class suspension for rock gardens and root "fun houses"? Look no further than the Fuel EX 8's Active Braking Pivot (or ABP) rear suspension geometry. Hard braking won't stiffen up the ABP rear triangle, no matter how ugly the descents get! 130mm of travel lets you take on hairy trail networks and fast descents with confidence. The rear shock is installed in a Full Floater mount, making the Fuel EX more responsive to washboard surfaces and hard landings alike. A one-piece alloy EVO rear suspension link keeps the rear shock from binding during technical turns. The rear shock itself is an air-adjustable Fox Performance Float EVOL unit with Trek's exclusive RE:aktiv 3-position damper. With the ability to bring almost "bottomless" suspension travel to the Fuel EX 8, the rear ABP suspension and Fox shock helps keep the rear tire planted. An air-adjustable Fox Rhythm 34 Float suspension fork does control duties up front with 130mm of travel, while the front hub's thru-axle adds even more razor-sharpness to the bike's overall handling. In case the trail gets a little too gnarly, Trek has your back with a Knock Block steerer stop in the headset. Spinning forks and damaged down tubes are a thing of the past, and the new, uncurved down tube adds a bit more torsional strength to the Fuel EX 8's long list of qualities.

SRAM's 12-speed Eagle GX shifters and SRAM Eagle GX Roller Bearing Clutch derailleur are paired for perfect operation in muddy and messy conditions, even under hard pedaling loads. A  single-ring Truvativ Descendant crankset with a 32T chainring and SRAM Eagle 10-50T cassette boasts a massive gearing range for roller-coaster singletrack. Reigning in speed is the job of a set of Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes for effortless stopping power, rain or shine. Bontrager Line Comp 30 alloy wheels are tubeless-ready, and are shod with Bontrager's 29x2.40" XR4 Team Issue tires for confident grip on technical trails. Boost110/148 hubs add lateral strength to the Fuel EX 8's wheelset. Bontrager's latest alloy Line 35mm stem and 35mm clamp diameter handlebars are ultra-strong for improved handling. A Bontrager Line alloy dropper post can get the Bontrager Arvada saddle out of the way with the press of a bar-mounted remote lever.

Trek Fuel EX 8 Women's
$3,149.00 $3,449.00 9% Off

Trek's mountain bike engineers decided there's no such thing as too much grip. The Fuel EX 8 gives you that, plus an outstanding fit!

The Fuel EX 8 WSD was redesigned for 2018 with an eye towards offering as much traction as possible. The tubeless-ready Schwable Nobby Nic Performance tires are now a massive 27.5x2.80", boasting a huge contact patch on the trails. Crumbly surfaces, loose gravel and rock gardens can be attacked with greater confidence. Trek's exclusive Active Braking Pivot -or ABP- rear suspension geometry ensures that the rear tire won't be affected by braking dynamics because the pivot point is the rear thru-axle. This is critical for control, especially when descending a technical trail into a sharp, unforgiving hairpin. The one-piece EVO Link upper suspension link resists torsional stress, allowing the rear shock to operate smoothly. The Full Floater rear shock mount reacts to small trail impacts better, reducing rider fatigue. The Fuel EX 8's handling geometry can be altered by reversing the Mino Link chips found on the EVO Link. When done, the bike's head tube angle can be slackened and the bottom bracket dropped slightly for an even more stable feel on gnarly terrain.

The Fuel EX 8 is built around an Alpha Platinum aluminum frame that keeps overall weight low while retaining plenty of strength to handle rough trails and powerful riders. The frame's fit and design favors female riders better with a shorter standover height and taller head tube. A tapered head tube adds precision to the Fuel EX 8's handling in fast corners, while a PF92 bottom bracket adds flex-free power delivery through the crankset. Clever internal cable routing -known as Control Freak- keeps the bike's cablework out of the dirt while all but eliminating rattle and friction-inducing tight bends. The Straight Shot down tube reduces weight and improves torsional strength further.

The suspension Trek chose for the Fuel EX 8 brings trail-taming control on technical features. The rear air-adjustable Fox Performance Float EVOL shock was tuned with Trek's suspension lab in Southern California along with input from Penske Racing Shocks. The result is a tuneable shock that can react to impacts both large and small, bringing control to a wide range of riding situations. A RE:aktiv 3-position damper allows the rider to tweak the shock adjustment on the fly. Up front, an air-adjustable Fox Rhythm 34 Float suspension fork helps keep the bike where you point it, with 120mm of travel. An adjustable damper knob on the fork crown also allows on-the-fly adjustment. Cool, huh?

The Fuel EX 8's drivetrain is SRAM's latest off-road component breakthrough: 12-speed GX Eagle. That's right, 12 speeds. The need for a front derailler and multiple chainrings are all but eliminated with GX Eagle. A single GX Eagle shift lever and GX Eagle Roller Bearing Clutch rear derailleur do shifting duties, while a 10-50T SRAM cassette and single-ring 32T SRAM Descendant crankset boast a massive gearing range for roller-coaster terrain.

For those massive Schwalbe Nobby Nic tires, SUNringle's tubeless-ready alloy Duroc 40 SL wheels form an excellent partnership. The wide rim keeps the tire's contact profile wide and aggressive, bringing even better grip in fast and twisty singletrack. Helping to keep speed reigned in is a set of SRAM Guide R hydraulic disc brakes.

A Bontrager Drop Line dropper post helps get the Evoke 2 women's saddle out of the way on steep descents with a handlebar-mounted remote lever. An alloy Rhythm Comp stem and headset prevents frame damage in a crash with the aid of a Knock Block headset limiter. That Straight Shot down tube will remain dent-free, even if the rider is a clumsy newbie, thanks to knock Block. An alloy Race Lite handlebar finishes off this amazing off-road challenger.

Trek 1120

There are bike tours, and then there are epic adventures. The 1120 is the right bike for pushing your boundries.

The 1120 can be seen as an entirely new category of adventure touring machine from Trek. It defies the conventions of traditional touring bikes with gigantic tires, a single-ring drivetrain and a dropper post. But it also maintains the practical and durable elements of front and rear racks, internal cable routing and extra accessory eyelets. The 1120's more upright position and stable handling is perfect for long days -or weeks- in the saddle. The 1120's Alpha Platinum aluminum frame may resemble the Trek Stache mountain bike, but the fit and geometry is definately different. A longer wheelbase improves stability while attacking unpaved surfaces and potholed roads. The adjustable Stranglehold thru-axle dropouts -also found on the Stache and Checkpoint- can adjust the handling further when adding heavy cargo. The longer asymmetrical Midstay chainstays accommdate the 3" wide Chupacabra tires easily. Need to carry more gear? The triple bottle eyelets on the down tube offer extra hardpoints for racks and cages. The 1120's tapered head tube anchors a rugged carbon fiber fork. It boasts a Boost110 thru-axle dropout that enhances wheel rigidity and torsional strength. Eyelets on the fork's blades and crown are perfect for racks and bottle cages galore. A press-fit PF92 bottom bracket ensures flex-free power delivery from the crankset.

The 1120 comes with Shimano's durable 11-speed SLX mountain bike shifter and rear mountain bike derailleur, ensuring lightning-quick operation and long service life. The 11-46T rear cassette and 30T single-ring RaceFace Aeffect crankset boasts a massive gearing range for challenging terrain and topography while loaded down. The 1120's wheelset begins with SUNringle's lightweight 50mm-wide alloy Duroc SL rims. Bontrager Boost110/148 hubs add lateral strength for improved handling and load bearing in rough terrain. Bontrager also supplies the aforementioned 29x3.00" Chupacabra tires that float over potholes, washboard gravel and singletrack with ease. Reigning in momentum is the job of a set of SRAM Level T hydraulic disc brakes that add excellent speed control and stopping power in all conditions, rain or shine. The 1120's Bontrager Drop Line 125 dropper post gets the saddle out of the way while traversing technical trails, and the Drop Line's remote lever at the handlebar makes operation simple. A Bontrager Montrose saddle, accessory-ready alloy Elite stem and alloy Crivitz sweep-back handlebars complete the cockpit. The included rear racks also feature drybag holsters that are designed to carry 8-liter drybags. Rear rack weight limit is 25lbs. Up front, the included front rack can hold up to 15.5lbs and is attached to the fork crown instead of the handlebar for better shifter and brake line routing.
