Trek Emonda SLR 7 P1 w/RSL Wheels

This is a Project One version of the already high performance Emonda SLR 7. When the hills get really steep, you need a bike that is ready for any incline.

The Emonda SLR was made for making every hill easier. Sure, the frameset has some measure of Kammtail Virtual Foil (orKVF) frame shaping to slice through the air, but being light is top priority. How light? 698 grams for the bare frame. Trek's 800 Series OCLV carbon fiber is their lightest raw composite material, giving the engineers at Trek free reign to develop gravity-defying dream machines like the Emonda SLR. The material is 30% stronger than the previous 700 Series OCLV carbon fiber; a perfect starting point for a world-beating machine. Power transfer hasn't been forgotten, either. A rigid T47 bottom bracket makes every pedal stroke flex-free, even when attacking a hill out of the saddle. Internal cable routing and an aperture for a DuoTrap S speed/cadence sensor (sold separately) in the left chainstay keeps the bike looking sleek. The Emonda SLR's H1.5 fit and geometry will fit a rider looking for a slightly more aggressive position, but without being mistaken for a pro.

The Emonda SLR 7's wheels are a perfect addition to this bike: The featherweight Aeolus RSL 37 Disc. Tipping the scales at a mere 1325 grams, this wheelset will make every acceleration close to completely effortless. They're tubeless ready, and boast a Dual Directional Design (or D3) rim profile that slices the air effectively while still resisting gusty crosswinds. 700x28c Bontrager R3 Hard-Case Lite tires offer a smoother ride experience while still cornering confidently.

Shimano's Ultegra electronic Di2 components make up the drivetrain, bringing lightning-quick operation, long service life, and very light weight. Electronic shifting delivers perfect shifting. Every. Single. Time. The shift buttons on the brake levers can be customized to favor right handers or left handers. A single charge can last 900 to 1,000 miles, depending on terrain and usage. The lithium ion battery is hidden in the seat tube, keeping it out of the wind and weather. This Emonda SLR 7 features an Ultegra crankset equipped with 50/34T compact chainrings. An 11-34T CS-HG800 11-speed cassette brings a huge gearing range to the party.

Hydraulic disc brakes aren't just for riding in the rain. The Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes found on this Emonda SLR 7 will also allow the rider to better predict stopping distances, thanks to better lever feedback. The flat-mount brake calipers reduce overall weight and promote more even pad wear.

Up front, this Emonda SLR 7 is equipped with an Aeolus RSL one-piece handlebar and stem unit. Built from OCLV carbon fiber, it weighs less than 300 grams. That's very little to add to the total weight of the bike! Channels under the handlebar allow for easy installation of hydraulic hosing and Di2 cables while keeping the front end of the bike very aero. A Bontrager Aeolus Elite saddle completes this high performance hill conqueror.
