Trek Emonda SLR 7 eTap P1

The Emonda SLR ultralight road bicycle has been an eye-opening performance machine for everyone who wants to tackle challenging terrain, from recreational road riders to pro-level racers. This Emonda SLR 7 eTap features SRAM's wireless eTap AXS 12-speed shifting, disc brakes and an extra dash of aero.

The Emonda SLR boasts a new carbon fiber "recipe" from Trek: 800 Series OCLV carbon fiber. With a frame weight of only 750 grams (that was not a misprint), the Emonda SLR is an incredible performance booster in hilly or mountainous terrain. Astounding lightness is not the only outcome when using this material. Improved torsional strength prevents frame-robbing flex with every pedal stoke. 800 Series OCLV carbon fiber also gave the engineers at Trek the leeway to add aerodynamic Kammtail shaping on the frame and fork. With a slipperier frameset, the latest version of the Emonda SLR will save a minute when riding 25 miles compared to the previous version. Internal cable routing and an aperture in the left chainstay for a DuoTrap S speed/cadence sensor (sold separately) keeps the Emonda SLR looking clean and sleek.

This Emonda SLR 7 comes with SRAM's latest 12-speed Force eTap AXS component group, boasting wireless shifting. With a servo motor moving the derailleur instead of a cable, shifting accuracy is always perfect. Every. Single. Time. The lightning-quick shifting speed will even prolong the lifespan of your chain. Each derailleur is equipped with a lithium ion battery that can be removed for easy charging. A full charge will last roughly 60 hours of riding. The SRAM eTap AXS batteries are completely interchangeable, allowing the batteries to be swapped between derailleurs in case one loses charge before the other during a ride. Charge levels can be monitored with a SRAM AXS smartphone app that can also update the drivetrain's firmware. The Emonda SLR's Force 48/35T crankset is paired with a SRAM Force XG-1270 10-33T cassette, bringing a huge gearing range to the party.

The Emonda SLR 7's wheels are Bontrager's Aeolus Pro 37's, wrapped with Bontrager R3 Hard-Case Lite 700x25c tires. Weighing only 1500 grams a set, the Pro 37's eagerly spin up to speed and slice through the wind like a razor. The Dual Directional Design (or D3) rim profile is crosswind resistant as well as very aero for a 37mm profile. SRAM Force hydraulic disc brakes perform brilliantly in all conditions, rain or shine.

Trek made sure the Emonda SLR 7's "furniture" would match the rest of the bike's capabilities. A One-piece OCLV carbon fiber Aeolus RSL handlebar and stem adds very little total weight to the bike, and keeps the cockpit very sleek. It has an aperture for a handlebar computer mount, eliminating the need for ugly strapwork. The Aeolus Elite saddle sits atop a Ride Tuned seatmast cap, completing this world-class performance machine.
