When your most challenging ride is ahead of you, Cannondale has the right machine for the job: The Synapse Carbon Disc for women.
Cannondale's BallisTec carbon fiber isn't just light, it delivers a surprisingly smooth ride quality for tackling rough and choppy surfaces. Their approach to building carbon fiber frames improves the bike's ride quality without sacrificing handling or power transfer; something to be appreciated when attacking steep inclines or flying down twisty descents. The frame's tapered head tube also enhances the Synapse's handling precision, allowing a more substantial anchor point for the massive down tube. The overall fit of the Synapse is more upright than Cannondale's SuperSix or SystemSix pure racing machines, allowing a wider range of riders -and rider flexibilities- to get comfortable for multi-hour excursions.
This version comes with Shimano's latest Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting components. No cables and housing to foul or change, just perfect shifting. Every. Single. Time. A fully charged battery will run both derailleurs for up to 1000 miles between charges. As the rider shifts across the rear cassette the front derailleur will trim itself automatically. A Shimano 11-34T cassette brings a wide gearing range to every hilly ride. An alloy Cannondale Si BB30a crankset with 50/34T chainrings does power delivery duties.
Fulcrum's lightweight Racing 600 DB wheelset features a 26mm profile, adding a dash of aerodynamic sleekness to the Synapse Carbon. Vittoria Rubino Pro tires in a 700x28c size bring confident grip in the corners while soaking up broken pavement. Shimano's Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes help reign in speed with 160mm rotors, even in wet and rainy conditions. A Cannondale C2 carbon fiber seatpost, Fabric Scoop Women's Sport saddle, and alloy Cannondale C2 handlebar and stem completes this technological wonder.
A Shimano Di2 charging cable is included with the purchase of this bicycle.
Electronic drivetrain systems deliver excellent shifting, easy set up, and solid battery life. Here are some benefits of electronic shifting that you don't want to miss.
Electronic shifting systems use powerful servo motors to rapidly shift the chain. Because microprocessors and sensors constantly monitor every aspect of the system, they shift with surgical precision and without chain rub.
Many major systems have customizable shifting. Some have the ability to add remote shifters for common riding positions, and some even allow you to change the functions of the shifting buttons.
Electronic groupsets are responsive and consistent. There are no cables to stretch and wear out, so you get a flawless shift every time. The added bonus is you'll never have to replace a derailleur cable ever again.
