Shimano's finest Dura-Ace SPD-SL road pedals were used (and abused) by pro-level riders over hundreds of thousands of miles before finally being released to the public.
With wins in Classics, Grand Tours, World Championships, Olympics, and Ironman triathlons, the Dura-Ace R9100 SPD-SL pedal has proven itself as the ultimate workhorse as well as a feather-weight climber's dream. Criterium racers will appreciate the pedal's low profile for pedaling out of tight turns as well as supreme stiffness. The stainless steel spindle is anchored by 3 sets of bearings, ensuring long pedal life. The wide platform reduces foot "roll", helping to keep rotational injuries at bay. Included with the Dura-Ace R9100 SPD-SL pedals is a pair of MC12 SPD-SL cleats with 2 degrees of "float". Standard SH-11 cleats (sold separately) with 6 degrees of float can also work with these pedals. There are no wrench flats on the stainless steel axles, so an 8mm allen wrench is needed for installation. Release tension can be adjusted with a 2.5mm allen wrench at the cleat retainer on the back of the pedal. Toal weight for a pair of Dura-Ace R9100 pedals: 224grams.
This product has a 3 year warranty against manufacturer's defects.
