Color: Gloss Black Size: Small The Primera from Co-Motion is a classic road tandem, offering a comfortable ride, stable handling and excellent performance. Handbuilt in Eugene, Oregon, the Primera is ready for long tours, short club rides and everything in between. Built with tandem-specific butted chromoly steel tubing, the Primera will handle and corner with confidence. Rack and fender mounts, plus bottle cage mounts galore ensure that long trips are part of the Primera's original design. There's even a pump peg for a full-length pump behind the head tube (remember those?). Slotted cable stops and external cable routing make for easy serviceability and repairs in the field. An alloy fork with tapered blades is mounted in the oversized 44mm head tube, adding an extra dash of handling precision. Shimano's 11-speed 105 components are found throughout the Primera's drivetrain, including the dual-control levers and the derailleurs. An alloy Co-Motion 50/34T crankset and 11-34T Shimano cassette boast a wide gearing range for tackling hilly terrain. Stopping power is equally impressive, with 200mm disc brakes being clamped by Avid's BB7 cable-operated brakes. 40-spoke hubs are laced to Alex ATD 490 alloy rims, bringing a durable wheelset to the Primera. Continental's Ultrasport II 700x28c tires bring easy speed and tenacious grip to every mile. An alloy FSA Omega compact handlebar and FSA Gossamer stem is found up front for the captain. An alloy Co-Motion stoker bar and adjustable alloy Co-Motion stoker stem makes finding a comfortable fit for the back-seater easy. Selle Italia supplies the X1 saddle for the captain, while the stoker gets an X3 Lady saddle. A Thudbuster suspension seatpost helps keep the stoker comfy on rough pavement. The Co-Motion Primera is available in Small, Medium and Large. Custom geometry can be requested. Color: Green Size: Large Co-Motion has listened to their riders faithfully over the years, introducing tandems that suit the terrain that riders enjoy. The Java is an excellent example of that, allowing tandem couples to explore off road as well as on. The Java is an off-road touring tandem, with room for 29'er tires up to 2.0" wide. A long wheelbase and stable geometry brings confidence when plowing through gravel and singletrack. Handbuilt with butted chro-moly steel, the frame is strong enough for loaded touring with powerful riders aboard. An oversized 44mm head tube anchors the fork, improving handling and braking, especially at high speeds. Thru-axles front and rear ensure perfect hub and brake rotor alignment. The Java's rack and fender mounts -along with 4 bottle mounts- ensure you don't leave anything behind on long trips! Co-Motion installs Shimano Ultegra 11-speed shifting components at the Java's drivetrain, with the front derailleur. The long-cage rear derailleur is a XTR mountain bike unit, ensuring durability. An alloy 53/39/30T triple crankset and 11-34T Shimano XT cassette adds a less-than-1-to-1 ratio for fearsome inclines when loaded down with touring bags. Reliable wheels are important to every tandem, and Co-Motion didn't scrimp on the Java's setup. Handbuilt 40-spoke alloy Velocity Cliffhanger 29er rims are laced to precisiton-built DT Swiss 540 hubs, making the Java more than ready for singletrack. Treaded Panaracer Pasela 700x38" tires come stock, and boast bags of grip on unpaved surfaces. The Java's brakes are well engineered for high speeds in every environment, with cable-operated Avid BB7 Road disc brakes coupled with meaty 200mm rotors. For the Java's "furniture", Co-Motion chose FSA's alloy Omega compact road handlebar for the captain, and an alloy Co-Motion stoker bar for the back-seater. An alloy FSA Gossamer stem up front and an adjustable Co-Motion stoker stem makes a comfortable fit easy. Selle Italia's XR Flow saddles soak up impacts well on rough and choppy surfaces. The Co-Motion Java is available in Small, Medium and Large. Custom colors, geometry and component choices are also available, including a Rohloff internal shifting rear hub, or Pinion P1.18 internal gearbox, both with carbon Gates drive belts replacing the chain.
