A bike that is more than just a grocery-getter or neighborhood cruiser can give you the freedom to explore!

The Dual Sport 2 was built with the idea that the ride doesn't end when the pavement does. Knobby Bontrager GR1 Comp tires boast plenty of grip on imperfect surfaces, while an SR Suntour NEX suspension fork helps keep the ride smooth and stable. The Dual Sport 2's Alpha Gold aluminum frame is not only light, but is also equipped with rack, bottle cage and fender mounts for added versatility. There's even an aperture in the left chainstay for a DuoTrap S speed/cadence sensor (sold separately) for keeping track of rides with a Bontrager computer or smartphone app. Internal cable routing looks clean and sleek, too. Shimano 9-speed shifters and derailleurs provide fingertip operation and long service life. A 46/30T alloy double crankset and 11-36T Shimano cassette bring a wide gearing range for steep climbs and heavy loads. Descend steep hills with confidence, thanks to the all-weather performance of Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. A comfy Bontrager Sport saddle, accessory-ready alloy Blendr stem and alloy handlebar finishes off this adventurous runabout.

Smaller frames (S) have a top tube that dips down as it approaches the seat tube. This design makes for a lower standover height, which is good for shorter riders because it allows them to straddle their bike more easily. Larger frames (M and up) have a straight top tube because taller riders with longer legs typically don’t have the same issues with standover height.
