The heart of the Sport-e 95 S is a Shimano STEPS drive unit mounted at the 44T crankset. Weighing just 6-1/2 lbs., the completely silent power-assist motor only engages after the bike reaches speeds above 5 MPH. Sorry, this isn't a throttle-twist electric motorcycle, and the top speed is limited to 20 MPH. The battery and start button is lockable at the down tube, and can be fully recharged in about 4 hours. The Lithium-Ion battery has upwards of 600 charge cycles as well. The amount of assist can be adjusted on the handlebar-mounted buttons with an easy-to-read digital computer display. Remaining power, speed, mileage and ride time can be easily read for day trips and commutes.

The Felt Sport-e 95 S features a 10-speed Shimano SLX shifter and derailleur, allowing for easy operation over hilly rides. An 11-36T rear cassette boasts a wide range of climbing gears for challenging climbs. Shimano also supplies the hydraulic disc brakes, bringing excellent stopping power and lever feel to the party. 700c alloy disc-specific wheels feature 36 spokes each for durability and are shod with 38mm Schwalbe Energizer tires for a smooth ride and excellent grip. A classic quill stem boasts one-wrench adjustment for a perfect fit. The Selle Royal saddle is pretty comfy, too.
