Co-Motion Carrera

Looking for a tandem that is more than just fun on two wheels? The Carrera is a fast machine for two.

Fast training sessions with the local club, hilly centuries and "challenge rides" are all part of the Carrera's repertoire. With precise handling, a smooth ride quality and impressively low weight, the Carrera checks all the boxes for tandem riders that wants to cover ground fast. Or, at least, with energy to spare by ride's end.

The heart of the Carrera is a handmade frame built from Reynolds 631 chromoly steel tubing made exclusively for Co-Motion. An oversized head tube adds an extra dash of handling, while a carbon fiber Co-Motion T390 fork soaks up fatiguing vibration as well as subtracting weight. Rack and fender mounts add a versatile side to the Carrera's performance-oriented nature.

Shimano's 11-speed Ultegra components make up the drivetrain, including the derailleurs and dual-control levers. An alloy Co-Motion 50/34T crankset and 11-34T Shimano cassette bring a useful gearing range to the Carrera, helping to make short work of fearsome climbs. Instead of a chain, the Carrera uses a Gates timing belt that never needs lubrication and boasts a very long service life. Cable-operated TRP Spyre disc brakes with massive 203mm rotors add confident stopping power, even while loaded down.

The Carrera's rolling stock consists of Rolf's Prima Tandem wheelset. High-flange hubs, bladed spokes and a deep rim profile add performance with every mile. Continental's Gatorskin tires add a smooth feel and peace of mind with renowned puncture resistance.

Selle Italia supplies the Nekkar captain's saddle and the Lady Flow stoker's saddle. An alloy FSA handlebar and stem up front is complimented with an adjustable stem and alloy Co-Motion stoker bar out back.
