When our customers have asked for a "classic steel touring bike", and wanted something American-made, the choices were somewhat limited. Now Co-Motion has added an excellent new model with plenty of value.

The Descheutes brings stable handling and rugged construction for rides across town or across the country. Double-butted cro-moly steel tubing gives the Deschutes a light, springy feel over rough and choppy pavement. The long wheelbase and relaxed frame geometry adds a stable handling quality, especially when tackling broken pavement, gravel trails and fire roads. The Deschutes boasts rack mounts, fender mounts and three (yes, three) bottle mounts for expedition-level touring. If you're into old-school full-length frame pumps, there's a pump peg at the back of the head tube. There's even a kickstand mounting plate doubling as a seat stay bridge. The cro-moly unicrown fork also features eyelets for fenders and front low-rider racks, improving carrying capacity and weight distribution when front panniers are used. An upright fit allows a wider range of riders -and rider flexibilities- to get comfortable on multi-day trips. Five stock sizes give plenty of riders an excellent overall fit.

The drivetrain of the Deschutes brings a massive gearing range to the table, pairing an FSA Omega 46/30T crankset and an 11-40T cassette for loaded touring. Yes, that's a very low 30T chainring and 40T cassette low gear for those 15+% grades and fully loaded panniers. TRP Spyre cable-operated disc brakes with 160mm rotors boast plenty of stopping power, even in wet and rainy conditions. Loaded touring requires stong wheels, and the Deschutes' handbuilt alloy Alex ATD 490 rims are more than up to the task. 700x32c Continental Ultrasport tires add low rolling resistance and a comfortable ride, but even wider rubber can be added for rough gravel and jeep double-track roads. An FSA Gossamer stem, Omega Compact handlebar, 31.6 alloy seatpost and Selle Italia XR Flow saddle completes the cockpit of this outstanding handcrafted beauty.

Felt continues to offer excellent performance at every price level. The VR60 is a prime example of how Felt's Variable Road (or VR) series brings high performance to an affordable price point.

The VR60 starts with a lightweight custom-butted FLite aluminum frame and UHC Advanced carbon fiber fork. But they didn't stop there...

Shimano's 8-speed Claris conponents are found throughout the VR60's drivetrain, including the adjustable-reach dual-control levers, front derailleur and long-cage rear derailleur. This family of components might be Shimano's most introductory product for road bicycles, but the overall feel and functionality of Claris will set a high standard. An alloy Shimano Claris 50/34T compact crankset and 11-34T cassette brings a wide gearing range to the VR60, making steep ascents less challenging. Tubeless-ready alloy Devox wheels are wrapped with 700x30c Vittoria Zaffiro semi-treaded tires for easy acceleration and confident grip. Cable-operated Tektro disc brakes bring effective stopping power in all conditions, rain or shine. A Devox saddle, alloy Devox seatpost, alloy Devox stem and alloy Devox road handlebar complete this value-packed machine.

Giant's Revolt Advanced 3 might be their entry-level carbon fiber gravel machine, but there's plenty that went into making this a brilliant performer! The frame and fork got a makeover since 2021. The Advanced-Grade carbon fiber frame features all-new geometry, with an eye towards improved control in rough terrain. The frame's top tube is slightly longer, improving control while descending crumbly fire roads. A shorter stem keeps the fit comfortable, and the overall fit remains more upright for a comfortable ride posture. Out back, the rear thru-axle dropout has a reversible "flip chip" that allows the rider to change the bike's overall wheelbase by 10mm. When set into the "long" position, the tire clearance will allow up to 53mm wide rubber. In the "short" position, the Revolt Advanced will feel more road-like, with a nimble feel for less technical surfaces. The seat stays were redesigned to offer a more compliant feel, while the familiar D-Fuse Composite carbon fiber seat post and D-shaped seat tube also soaks up rough and choppy surfaces. Up front, the Advanced-Grade Composite fork is mounted in a tapered Overdrive head tube, adding an extra dose of handling precision. Mounts for racks, bottle cages and a top-tube mounted tank bag are found throughout the Revolt Advanced 3. The complete frameset went on a diet as well, losing 160 grams when compared to last year's model. Giant knew that riders looking for a true gravel-ready machine would look for Shimano's latest GRX components on the Revolt Advanced 3. Shimano 10-speed GRX dual-control levers, flat-mount hydraulic disc brakes and a clutch-equipped rear derailleur all work together for precise operation and durability. The levers feature an adjustable reach for smaller hands, while a shorter lever throw makes every gear change easier. An 11-34T Shimano Tiagra cassette and 48/32T FSA Omega alloy crankset bring a very wide gearing range to the party. The new D-Fuse components work together to further absorb road shocks and vibrations. TOTAL CONTROL - New Contact D-Fuse handlebar features ergonomic shaping and an 8-degree flare for comfort and control on all-day rides. Wide, alloy rims are optimized for high-volume tubeless tires (up to 38mm), providing predictable handling and stability from asphalt to cobbles. ADVANCED COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGY - Giant’s High Performance Grade raw carbon material is used to produce this custom frame material in our own composite factory with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio. The front triangle of these framesets is assembled and molded as one continuous piece in a proprietary manufacturing process called Modified Monocoque Construction. COMPACT ROAD DESIGN - Introduced by Giant with the professional Team ONCE in the 1990s, Compact Road revolutionized the look and feel of high-performance road bikes forever. A downward sloping toptube (from the headtube to the seattube) creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It also makes it easier for riders of all sizes to have a perfect fit. TUBELESS SYSTEM - Fewer flat tires. Greater traction. Less rolling resistance and a smoother, faster ride. Giant’s Tubeless System makes it easier than ever to experience all these benefits. OVERDRIVE AERO - Found inside the head tube of the all-new Propel range, the D-shaped fork steerer tube and corresponding spacers provide an extremely aerodynamic, easier to service system of internally routed brake and derailleur cables.
