Bikes

The idea of being a cyclist in many different ways has a strong appeal. Commuting to work? Day trip on the weekend? Metric century? They're all fun in different ways. But what if you don't want a different bike for every kind of ride? What if there was one bike that did everything pretty well, and was still an excellent value?
The Contend AR 2 is exactly that kind of machine. It boasts light weight, a huge gearing range, disc brakes, and room for tires up to 38mm. There's plenty to work with, no matter the distance or adventure! The Contend AR 2's ALUXX-Grade aluminum frame provides a strong platform that handles well in fast turns and descents. The upright fit allows a wide range of riders -and rider flexibilities- to get comfortable with minimal adjustments. A tapered OverDrive head tube and 12mm thru-axles add an extra dash of precision to the Contend AR 2's handling. Internal cable routing gives the bike a clean and sleek look, while an Advanced-Grade Composite carbon fiber fork helps keep weight low. Need to carry cargo? Riding in wet weather? Mounts for bottle cages and fenders (sold separately) bring practicality to the Contend AR.
Shimano's excellent 10-speed Tiagra components are found throughout the drivetrain of the Contend AR 2, including the dual-control levers, both derailleurs, the 50/34T crankset, and a wide-range 11-34T cassette. This ensures lightning-quick operation and long service life for every mile covered. Tubeless alloy S-R2 Disc wheels are wrapped with 700x32c tubeless Gavia Fondo 2 tires, adding confident grip and a smooth ride over rough pavement and hardpan surfaces. Giant's own Conduct hydraulic disc brakes bring excellent stopping power and lever feedback to the Contend AR 2 in all conditions, wet or dry. A clever Composite carbon fiber D-Fuse seatpost flexes slightly to soak up harsh impacts from railway crossings and potholes. Giant's Contact saddle completes this brilliant all-rounder.

If you own only one bike for different rides every day, and it still needs to be a hybrid, check out the Trek Dual Sport 3.
Commutes? Fitness rides? Exploring gravel trails? On the same bike? The Dual Sport series does the job nicely. The Dual Sport 3's lightweight Alpha Gold aluminum frame and SR Suntour NEX suspension fork makes light work of hills and rough gravel surfaces. Mounts for bottle cages, racks and fenders make the Dual Sport 3 extremely versatile for commutes and day trips. Internal cable routing keeps the Dual Sport 3 looking clean and sleek. Shimano's proven Acera 9-speed shifters, Acera front derailleur and Shimano Alivio rear derailleur bring fingertip operation to the Dual Sport 3. A 46/30T Shimano crankset and 11-36T Shimano cassette boasts a massive gearing range for tackling challenging hills and inclines. Tubeless-ready alloy Bontrager wheels are wrapped with 700x40c semi-treaded Bontrager GR1 Expert tires, offering excellent grip on trails paved and unpaved. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes help keep speed reigned in on days rainy and sunny. An accessory-ready alloy Blendr stem, alloy handlebar, alloy seatpost and Bontrager Nebula saddle completes the cockpit of this do-it-all runabout.

Have you wanted to ride, well, more that you already do? Not just how often, but how far? Trek's Verve+ 2 will help you achieve that goal.
The Verve+ 2 is Trek's power-assist hybrid bicycle with improvements and changes requested by owners who ride it the most.
The Verve+ 2 uses Bosch's Active Line power-assist technology, allowing the rider to cover more ground with less effort. Long rides with friends and grocery store trips are just a few of the options that might've been less appealing in the past. The handling is stable, and the fit is upright and comfortable!
Electric-assist bicycles need to be efficient and capable, ready to do more than just help pedaling uphill. Trek started with a lightweight Alpha Gold aluminum frame and added Bosch's 250-watt Active power-assist motor in a dedicated mount at the bottom. The Bosch Active Line motor adds power to the rider's own efforts at the crankset rather than the rear wheel. This isn't a motorbike-style "throttle-twist" system, but a way to smoothly add power while pedaling. The amount of power assist can be adjusted with the control pod on the handlebar. Four power levels (Eco, Tour, Sport and Turbo) can be selected with increasing levels of power assist. Speed, range and level of power assist is shown on the Purion's digital display, giving the rider a clear image of range and performance. After the rider reaches 20mph, the power assist simply stops; downhills and tailwinds can sometimes be more helpful than an electric motor!
With a full charge, the Verve+ 2 can go as far as 65 miles on Eco mode in ideal conditions. With a rechargeable 400Wh battery mounted on the frame's downtube, the center of gravity of the Verve+ 2 stays low for better handling and braking. Recharging takes 3.5 hours from a completely empty battery, but 50% of the battery charge can be done in only 1.5 hours. The battery for the Verve+ 2 can be unlocked and brought indoors for charging. Trek didn't forget how versatile a bike needs to be for daily errands, so they added a rear rack, full-wrap fenders and lights. The front light is an impressive 120-lumen daylight-visible Herrmans unit powered by the onboard Bosch battery. Out back is a Bosch-powered Spanninga Solo tail light also designed to get the attention of drivers. There's even a direct-mount kickstand mounted at the back of the chainstay.
The rest of the components of the Verve+ 2 are high-quality components found on Trek's classic Verve hybrid bicycles. The drivetrain features Shimano's 9-speed Alivio shifter and rear derailleur, adding fingertip operation and long service life. An 11-36T cassette offers a wide gearing range for tackling challenging terrain. Bontrager's alloy Connection wheels are wrapped with 700x45c H5 Hard-Case Ultimate tires for confident grip on surfaces paved and unpaved. Shimano hydraulic disc brakes bring effective stopping power in all conditions, wet or dry. Trek hasn't forgotten about comfort with the Verve+ 2, and Boulevard saddle and adjustable suspension seatpost delivers! An accessory-ready adjustable alloy stem and swept handlebar complete this exceptionally helpful runabout.
A Bosch battery charger is included with the purchase of this bicycle.

Trek's Fuel EX line has exactly what the rest of the mountain bike world has been chasing: Award-winning performance.
The Fuel EX 8 29 is a rolling technology demonstrator. Everything that Trek does well in mountain bikes, you'll find on the Fuel EX 8. A rugged, super-strong frame built with Trek's hydroformed Alpha Platinum aluminum ensures immediate power delivery and suspension response. A press-fit PF92 bottom bracket keeps the crankset flex-free, while a tapered head tube helps keep the front wheel aimed where you point it. Need a world-class suspension for rock gardens and root "fun houses"? Look no further than the Fuel EX 8's Active Braking Pivot (or ABP) rear suspension geometry. Hard braking won't stiffen up the ABP rear triangle, no matter how ugly the descents get! 130mm of travel lets you take on hairy trail networks and fast descents with confidence. The rear shock is installed in a Full Floater mount, making the Fuel EX more responsive to washboard surfaces and hard landings alike. A one-piece alloy EVO rear suspension link keeps the rear shock from binding during technical turns. The rear shock itself is an air-adjustable Fox Performance Float EVOL unit with Trek's exclusive RE:aktiv 3-position damper. With the ability to bring almost "bottomless" suspension travel to the Fuel EX 8, the rear ABP suspension and Fox shock helps keep the rear tire planted. An air-adjustable Fox Rhythm 34 Float suspension fork does control duties up front with 130mm of travel, while the front hub's thru-axle adds even more razor-sharpness to the bike's overall handling. In case the trail gets a little too gnarly, Trek has your back with a Knock Block steerer stop in the headset. Spinning forks and damaged down tubes are a thing of the past, and the new, uncurved down tube adds a bit more torsional strength to the Fuel EX 8's long list of qualities.
SRAM's 12-speed Eagle GX shifters and SRAM Eagle GX Roller Bearing Clutch derailleur are paired for perfect operation in muddy and messy conditions, even under hard pedaling loads. A single-ring Truvativ Descendant crankset with a 32T chainring and SRAM Eagle 10-50T cassette boasts a massive gearing range for roller-coaster singletrack. Reigning in speed is the job of a set of Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes for effortless stopping power, rain or shine. Bontrager Line Comp 30 alloy wheels are tubeless-ready, and are shod with Bontrager's 29x2.40" XR4 Team Issue tires for confident grip on technical trails. Boost110/148 hubs add lateral strength to the Fuel EX 8's wheelset. Bontrager's latest alloy Line 35mm stem and 35mm clamp diameter handlebars are ultra-strong for improved handling. A Bontrager Line alloy dropper post can get the Bontrager Arvada saddle out of the way with the press of a bar-mounted remote lever.

This Trek road bike has the handling and pedigree of a Paris-Roubaix winner, yet remains affordable. It's still a Domane.
The Trek Domane AL 3 Disc is much more than a "starter" road bike. The Domane AL series have been developed from a proven platform that has conquered Spring Classics, double centuries and hilly commutes alike. The fit and handling of the Domane isn't oriented towards criterium racers. Instead of a short wheelbase and aggressive fit, the Domane's more upright fit, stable handling and longer wheelbase make every mile smoother and easier. The slightly taller head tube allows a wider range of riders -and rider flexibilties- to get comfortable with minimal changes (if any) to the Domane AL's components. The Domane AL doesn't handle like a clumsy touring bike, though. Built around Trek's Endurance Geometry, it will track though corners and follow curves with ease. Built from Trek's 100 Series Alpha aluminum tubing, the frame displays tapered and shaped lines that enhance strength while keeping overall weight low. A threaded external Shimano bottom bracket ensures flex-free power delivery with every pedal stroke. A carbon fiber Domane IsoSpeed fork soaks up fatiguing vibration, making every mile more comfortable. Useful details can be found on the Domane AL 3 Disc, like the aperture in the left chainstay for a DuoTrap S speed/cadence sensor (sold separately). Rack mounts and vanishing fender mounts make for easy installation of accessories for commutes and day-trips. There's even a set of mounts for a bolt-on "tank bag" on the top tube.
The Domane AL 3 is equipped with Shimano's redesigned Sora 9-speed components. Adjustable-reach dual-control levers are easier to fit, while both derailleurs require less hand strength to operate. A 50/34T Sora compact crankset and 11-32T Sora 9-speed cassette boast a massive gearing range for steep ascents and day-long adventures. Tubeless-ready alloy Bontager wheels are shod with smooth-riding 700x32c Bontrager R1 tires, reducing road harshness while adding confidence-boosting grip in fast corners. The Domane AL 3's cable-operated Tektro C550 brakes offer excellent lever feedback and stopping power. Bontrager also supplies the alloy Comp seatpost, Verse Comp saddle, alloy Comp VR-S road handlebar and accessory-ready alloy Elite Blendr stem.
Come in and find out why Trek's Domane makes a great bike for more riders. Even their very first road bike.

Bicycle touring can be more than just a ride to a B-and-B somewhere out of town. Tours can start and finish in your hometown after a trip around the world!
Long distance tours that last for weeks or even months on end require an exceptional bicycle. A purpose-built touring machine will make every mile easier when loaded down with a tent, panniers, sleeping bag, and food for weeks at a time. The frame needs to be strong and stable, while the drivetrain should be ready for day-long hilly excursions. With all that extra cargo you'll probably have on board, disc brakes are practically required to help reign in speed on steep descents. Trek has been building the 520 since the 80's, ensuring that it is one of the most refined dedicated touring bicycles of the last 30 years.
Butted cro-moly steel is an excellent choice for a touring bicycle's frame. Durability and ride quality is needed for every mile, and the 520 Disc's frame has it covered. The bike can carry up to 275 pounds of total weight (rider+cargo+ total weight of bicycle), making it more than ready for a rider who packs two of everything. Mounts for, well, everything are found throughout the 520 Disc's frame, including bottle cages, front and rear racks, fenders and even a pump peg at the back of the head tube for a full-length frame pump. Tire clearance is generous, allowing up to 40mm tires for a comfortable ride on rough and choppy pavement. An alloy fork with disc brake caliper mounts and low-rider rack eyelets is equally up to the task. The front and rear Bontrager racks shown in the photos are included. Cool, huh?
The drivetrain of the 520 Disc is different than other road bicycles due to the expectations placed on it by long-distance tours. The easy gear ratios need to be really easy, especially when tackling double-digit inclines while loaded down with cargo and camping gear. The Alivio triple crankset's 48/36/26T chainring combination is matched to an 11-36T Shimano cassette, providing a generous gearing range needed for multi-week tours in mountainous terrain. Shimano's adjustable-reach 9-speed Sora dual-control levers bring the bike's shifting and braking to your fingertips. The Alivio long-cage rear derailleur features a Shadow-style "tucked-in" design that works better when shifting under hard pedaling loads. A Shimano Sora front derailleur handles gear changes duties up front. Bontrager's tubeless-ready alloy Affinity Disc wheels are built with 36 spokes each, offering exceptional ride quality and impressive strength. 700x38c Bontrager H1 Hard-Case Ultimate tires soak up rough pavement, while reflective sidewalls add an extra dash of visibility after dark. TRP's Spyre C 2.0 cable-operated disc brakes bring excellent stopping power to the 520 Disc, even in wet and sloppy conditions. Bontrager's Evoke saddle sits atop an alloy Bontrager 2-bolt seatpost, while an accessory-ready alloy Bontrager Elite Blendr stem and alloy Bontrager Comp VR-C road handlebar complete this expedition-worthy touring machine.

Remember the first really long rides you did as a teenager?
Do you still ride long distances like that?
You still can.
Trek produced the Domane + for riders wanting to return to that level of achievement and satisfaction. Or just get to work faster. Much faster. Trek's award-winning Domane platform was the basis for their first power-assist road bicycle. The stable handling, long wheelbase and upright fit of the Domane + allow a wider range of riders to get comfortable for long rides over pavement rough and smooth. The IsoSpeed decoupler that soaks up the impact of cobblestones at Paris-Roubaix is equally at home on a power-assist bike, allowing the rider to float over rough and choppy pavement. Room for tires up to 35mm wide permits adventurous riding on light gravel, depending on tire choices.
Trek's outstanding 500 Series OCLV carbon fiber forms the frame of the Domane +, endowing the bike with incredible strength for instant pedaling response and power delivery. That material let the engineers at Trek run wild, producing a bike with innovations everywhere you look. A tapered head tube adds handling precision in every curve and descent. 12mm thru-axles not only make hub installation easier with disc brakes, but also adds to the bike's lateral strength to improve handling. Even the fork is carbon fiber, allowing the design team to bring a more planted feel to the Domane + when tackling high speeds. The Removeable Integrated Battery -or RIB- hides inside the downtube, keeping a clean, sleek look we all want in a performance road bike. Removing the battery for recharging is tool-free, and its placement frees up space for a water bottle right where you expect it to be. There's even a recharging port of the left side of the bike's down tube if you want to charge it "on board". The Bosch battery itself is a 500Wh unit, and can be charged fully in roughly 4 hours from empty. Depending on power assist levels used, the Domane + has an assisted range of up to 70 miles, and a top speed of up to 28mph. Yes, 28mph. It'll make the landscape fly by pretty fast if you want it to! The motor that allows the Domane + to perform like that is Bosch's most powerful Performance Line Speed unit. With up to 350 watts and 63Nm of torque on tap, the Domane + fears no incline, and is ready for rides with the weekend fast group. A bar-mounted Bosch Purion controller with a large LCD display shows the 4 power-assist modes: Eco, Tour, Sport and Turbo.
The SRAM drivetrain on the Domane + will feel familiar, with an 11-speed Force 1 dual-control lever covering shifting duties. A medium cage SRAM Force 1 rear derailleur moves the chain across a wide-range 11-36T SRAM cassette with precision. SRAM's Force hydraulic disc brakes help keep speed in check in all conditions, rain or shine. The calipers are installed flat-mount style on the frame and fork for even pad wear and better lever feedback. Bontrager supplies the tubeless-ready alloy Paradigm Disc wheelset on the Domane +, keeping rotating mass low for easier acceleration. Tubeless-ready 700x35c Schwalbe G-One Speed tires feature a shallow tread that improves confidence on dusty roads or low-profile gravel.
Long miles aren't much fun if the bike's touchpoints aren't up to snuff, but Trek has that covered. A Bontrager Arvada Comp saddle boasts deep padding while still offering a classic road-style shape. The Ride Tuned alloy seatmast cap helps make the IsoSpeed decoupler work better than a conventional seatpost. An accessory-ready alloy Bontrager Elite Blendr stem makes phone case installation (sold separately) a snap. Bontrager's alloy Elite IsoZone VR-CF road handlebar comes with a layer of elastomer underneath the bar tape, serving as a last line of defense against road harshness. Everyday convenience has been considered with the Domane + with the addition of fender mounts and a chainstay-mounted kickstand. Road safety has been a recurring theme with many Trek products, and the Domane + shares in that theme with a set of daylight-visible, integrated Lync LED lights. Drawing power off the Bosch battery, the lights help to gain the attention of other road users, improving rider safety.
Those roads and group rides you enjoyed so much in the past? You can still enjoy them with the Domane +.
A Bosch home charger comes with the purchase of this bicycle at no extra cost.

Say what you want about Wisconsin having "tame" trails. It doesn't take long before you're in over your head on a stair-step descent and your XC hardtail isn't going where you point it. This is where the Slash 7 comes in handy!
The Trek Slash 7 isn't a downhill-wannabe machine, or a full-suspension XC bike. It lands squarely in the all-mountain category with the ability to do Enduro races on the side. Rocky singletrack, root-strewn downhills and technical trails are where the Slash 7 is truly at home. The backbone of the Slash 7 is an Alpha Platinum aluminum frame, designed around a nimble geometry that can get out of its own way while tackling big hits along the way. A tapered head tube and threaded bottom bracket anchor a massive down tube on each end, giving the Slash 7 a precise feel in twisty singletrack. If you're worried that the fork crown will ding that down tube on your first "unintentional shrubbery inspection", have no fear: The Knock Block 2.0 keyed headset/stem system prevents the fork from turning too far and damaging the frame. Twisted cables are a thing of the past, with Control Freak internal cable routing, too. Boost 110/148 thru-axle hub spacing helps add an extra dash of handling precision in the twisties. A clever internal compartment in the down tube keeps tools and a tube tucked away in a multi-pocket Bontrager BITS storage bag. Replaceable downtube guards help keep the bike's finish looking good.
The suspension is the best thing about the Slash 7's ability to handle challenging trails. Active Braking Pivot (or ABP) geometry allows the rear wheel to move through its travel distance without being affected by hard braking forces. The rear suspension pivot is the rear wheel axle! Cool, huh? This lets the rider mash on the binders to avoid diving into the scenery without making the rear shock bind up in the process. The air-adjustable RockShox Deluxe Select+ rear shock allows the rider to tweak the Slash 7's feel for confident control, especially when putting the power down in bumpy terrain. The ultra-rigid EVO Link that holds the rear shock helps reduce lateral binding forces, making it perform smoothly in bumpy drifts. 160mm of travel helps soak up hard landings and clattering washboard trails with equal aplomb. If you want the Slash 7 to handle a bit differently, the Mino Link inserts at the top of the rear seat stays can be reversed. The bike's angles can be slackened, making it even more stable for white-knuckle descents. Up front, the air-adjustable RockShox Yari RC fork soaks up impacts with 170mm of travel.
12-speed single ring shifting is found on the Slash 7, and SRAM's Eagle NX drivetrain makes it more affordable without giving up durability. A 12-speed Eagle NX shifter is mated to an Eagle NX rear derailleur, bringing easy operation to the party. A massive SRAM PG-1230 11-50T cassette is ready for roller-coaster trails, along with a SRAM X1 Eagle crankset and a 30T X-Sync chainring.
Bontrager's tubeless-ready alloy Line Comp 30 wheels boasts a 29mm rim width, giving the tires a wider footprint than XC rims. The tubeless-ready Bontrager XR4 Team Issue tires add an aggressive tread pattern (along with a 29x2.40" size) that adds boatloads of grip on any trail. The Line Comp 30's rear hub has a 54T ratchet driver for the cassette, allowing the rider to put down power with almost no lag. Plus it sounds cool, too!
The Slash 7's SRAM Guide T hydraulic disc brakes boast powerful 4-piston calipers that help reign in speeds with fantastic lever feedback, even in wet and messy conditions. A Bontrager Drop Line dropper post helps get the cromoly-railed Arvada saddle out of the way with a bar-mounted remote lever. The Bontrager Line alloy handlebar and stem feature a 35mm clamp diameter, adding a better feel to the Slash 7's handling.
