If gravel racing and long-distance adventures are already your thing, you need to see the Revolt Advanced 0.
At first, gravel cycling was done on a garden-variety touring bike: Long wheelbase, stable geometry, room for wide tires, and durable components. It did the job sorta OK, despite the fact it handled like an artichoke. Plus lugging a 30+lb. bike up challenging inclines could get old pretty fast. When the gravel scene exploded, Giant knew it had to rise to the top of the food chain with lighter high-performance machines like the Revolt Advanced 0.
Giant started with their own Advanced-Grade Composite carbon fiber, ensuring excellent quality control, light weight and durability. By utilizing a geometry for gravel (not overloaded touring), the Revolt Advanced 0 brings instant pedaling response and confident handling to every ride. A massive down tube, press-fit bottom bracket and 12mm thru-axles adds impressive torsional strength for razor-sharp handling and effective power transfer. No wasted energy means more speed. An OverDrive tapered head tube/steerer tube interface adds an extra level of handling precision in all conditions. The Revolt's overall geometry is more upright, allowing a wider range of riders -and rider flexibilities- to get comfortable over multi-hour adventures. Every ride could last all day in the rough stuff, and Giant added useful details to the Revolt Advanced 0. An X-Defender downtube guard helps deflect rocks and gravel, while a smart mounting system allows rack installation. There's even room for tires up to 45mm wide. When Shimano released their GRX gravel/adventure components to the world, everyone scrambled to get it on their bikes. With good reason! Shimano GRX makes tackling off-road tours, adventures and gravel racing easier and more fun! The Revolt Advanced 0 is equipped with GRX810 components for top-of-the-line performance. The rear GRX810 derailleur boasts a clutch that helps keep the chain engaged while hammering over washboard surfaces. The GRX front derailleur features a toggle-pivot design that requires less hand strength to operate under pedaling loads. An 11-34T Shimano cassette and GRX810 crankset with sub-compact 48/31T chainrings bring a massive gearing range to the Revolt Advanced 0. New GRX810 dual-control levers boast a new texture and profile, improving grip and comfort on rough terrain. The rolling stock on the Revolt Advanced 0 really hits it out of the park: Tubeless carbon fiber wheels! Giant's CXR-2 Carbon Disc wheelset adds next-level performance to the bike with a feathery-light 1518 gram weight. The rim profile measures 35mm for a bit of aero improvement. A 25mm inner rim width allows wide tires to spread out on rough surfaces for better grip and lower rolling resistance. Maxxis provides the tubeless-ready 700x40c Velocita tires. Giant's Contact XR D-Fuse road handlebar soaks up fatiguing vibration, while a composite D-Fuse seatpost does the same job out back. A Giant Approach saddle completes this smooth-riding adventurer.

Say what you want about Wisconsin having "tame" trails. It doesn't take long before you're in over your head on a stair-step descent and your XC hardtail isn't going where you point it. This is where the Slash 7 comes in handy!
The Trek Slash 7 isn't a downhill-wannabe machine, or a full-suspension XC bike. It lands squarely in the all-mountain category with the ability to do Enduro races on the side. Rocky singletrack, root-strewn downhills and technical trails are where the Slash 7 is truly at home. The backbone of the Slash 7 is an Alpha Platinum aluminum frame, designed around a nimble geometry that can get out of its own way while tackling big hits along the way. A tapered head tube and threaded bottom bracket anchor a massive down tube on each end, giving the Slash 7 a precise feel in twisty singletrack. If you're worried that the fork crown will ding that down tube on your first "unintentional shrubbery inspection", have no fear: The Knock Block 2.0 keyed headset/stem system prevents the fork from turning too far and damaging the frame. Twisted cables are a thing of the past, with Control Freak internal cable routing, too. Boost 110/148 thru-axle hub spacing helps add an extra dash of handling precision in the twisties. A clever internal compartment in the down tube keeps tools and a tube tucked away in a multi-pocket Bontrager BITS storage bag. Replaceable downtube guards help keep the bike's finish looking good.
The suspension is the best thing about the Slash 7's ability to handle challenging trails. Active Braking Pivot (or ABP) geometry allows the rear wheel to move through its travel distance without being affected by hard braking forces. The rear suspension pivot is the rear wheel axle! Cool, huh? This lets the rider mash on the binders to avoid diving into the scenery without making the rear shock bind up in the process. The air-adjustable RockShox Deluxe Select+ rear shock allows the rider to tweak the Slash 7's feel for confident control, especially when putting the power down in bumpy terrain. The ultra-rigid EVO Link that holds the rear shock helps reduce lateral binding forces, making it perform smoothly in bumpy drifts. 160mm of travel helps soak up hard landings and clattering washboard trails with equal aplomb. If you want the Slash 7 to handle a bit differently, the Mino Link inserts at the top of the rear seat stays can be reversed. The bike's angles can be slackened, making it even more stable for white-knuckle descents. Up front, the air-adjustable RockShox Yari RC fork soaks up impacts with 170mm of travel.
12-speed single ring shifting is found on the Slash 7, and SRAM's Eagle NX drivetrain makes it more affordable without giving up durability. A 12-speed Eagle NX shifter is mated to an Eagle NX rear derailleur, bringing easy operation to the party. A massive SRAM PG-1230 11-50T cassette is ready for roller-coaster trails, along with a SRAM X1 Eagle crankset and a 30T X-Sync chainring.
Bontrager's tubeless-ready alloy Line Comp 30 wheels boasts a 29mm rim width, giving the tires a wider footprint than XC rims. The tubeless-ready Bontrager XR4 Team Issue tires add an aggressive tread pattern (along with a 29x2.40" size) that adds boatloads of grip on any trail. The Line Comp 30's rear hub has a 54T ratchet driver for the cassette, allowing the rider to put down power with almost no lag. Plus it sounds cool, too!
The Slash 7's SRAM Guide T hydraulic disc brakes boast powerful 4-piston calipers that help reign in speeds with fantastic lever feedback, even in wet and messy conditions. A Bontrager Drop Line dropper post helps get the cromoly-railed Arvada saddle out of the way with a bar-mounted remote lever. The Bontrager Line alloy handlebar and stem feature a 35mm clamp diameter, adding a better feel to the Slash 7's handling.

Off-road riding can be pretty challenging, and not everyone has the inherent fitness to climb every mountain despite riding an outstanding machine. The Powerfly 4 is there for everyone else who wants to experience the outdoors. This example is from the far side of the Atlantic, making it unique! The specifications are slightly different from the U.S. version, but the idea is the same.
Trek has designed a high-performance hardtail mountain bike with one purpose: Make every trail and ascent easier with a Bosch power-assist motor. Powered by a 625Wh Li-Ion battery, the Bosch Performance CX motor can crank out up to 85Nm of torque, giving the rider a serious boost, even up steep inclines. That boost is adjustable with 4 levels of assistance. The system is engaged only when the rider is actually pedaling, and the power cuts out when the bike goes faster than 15mph. Range can be up to 70 miles, depending on hills, trail surfaces, rider weight, headwinds and other factors. The Bosch Purion display on the right side of the handlebars gives expected range, assist level, speed, distance and time of ride.
The Powerfly's Alpha Platinum aluminum frame allows the Bosch battery to nestle inside the downtube, keeping the center of gravity low and freeing up space in the frame's main triangle for water bottles. Called RIB for Removable Integrated Battery, the lockable battery mount keeps the Powerfly 4 looking sleek and clean. The adjustable Suntour XCM 34 suspension fork can be dialed for a rider's weight, riding style or trail surface. There's even a lockout knob to shut off the fork when riding on pavement or gravel. A single-ring 10-speed Shimano Deore drivetrain makes shifting lightning-quick, with a massive 11-46T Shimano cassette for tackling challenging terrain. Tektro HD-M275 hydraulic disc brakes bring confident stopping power in all conditions, rain or shine (or mud). Alloy Bontrager Connection wheels are shod with meaty 29x2.30" Bontrager XR3 Comp tires, bringing plenty of grip to loose surfaces. The "furniture" for the Powerfly 4 is straightforward: A comfy Bontrager Commuter Comp saddle mounted on an alloy Bontrager 2-bolt seatpost and an alloy Bontrager handlebar and stem. The stem is accessory-ready, with mounts for a front light or handlebar computer (both sold separately). Bontrager XR Endurance Comp lock-on grips offer a positive feel under the hands.
A Bosch battery charger is included with the purchase of this bicycle.
