There are bike tours, and then there are epic adventures. The 1120 is the right bike for pushing your boundries.
The 1120 can be seen as an entirely new category of adventure touring machine from Trek. It defies the conventions of traditional touring bikes with gigantic tires, a single-ring drivetrain and a dropper post. But it also maintains the practical and durable elements of front and rear racks, internal cable routing and extra accessory eyelets. The 1120's more upright position and stable handling is perfect for long days -or weeks- in the saddle. The 1120's Alpha Platinum aluminum frame may resemble the Trek Stache mountain bike, but the fit and geometry is definately different. A longer wheelbase improves stability while attacking unpaved surfaces and potholed roads. The adjustable Stranglehold thru-axle dropouts -also found on the Stache and Checkpoint- can adjust the handling further when adding heavy cargo. The longer asymmetrical Midstay chainstays accommdate the 3" wide Chupacabra tires easily. Need to carry more gear? The triple bottle eyelets on the down tube offer extra hardpoints for racks and cages. The 1120's tapered head tube anchors a rugged carbon fiber fork. It boasts a Boost110 thru-axle dropout that enhances wheel rigidity and torsional strength. Eyelets on the fork's blades and crown are perfect for racks and bottle cages galore. A press-fit PF92 bottom bracket ensures flex-free power delivery from the crankset.
The 1120 comes with Shimano's durable 11-speed SLX mountain bike shifter and rear mountain bike derailleur, ensuring lightning-quick operation and long service life. The 11-46T rear cassette and 30T single-ring RaceFace Aeffect crankset boasts a massive gearing range for challenging terrain and topography while loaded down. The 1120's wheelset begins with SUNringle's lightweight 50mm-wide alloy Duroc SL rims. Bontrager Boost110/148 hubs add lateral strength for improved handling and load bearing in rough terrain. Bontrager also supplies the aforementioned 29x3.00" Chupacabra tires that float over potholes, washboard gravel and singletrack with ease. Reigning in momentum is the job of a set of SRAM Level T hydraulic disc brakes that add excellent speed control and stopping power in all conditions, rain or shine. The 1120's Bontrager Drop Line 125 dropper post gets the saddle out of the way while traversing technical trails, and the Drop Line's remote lever at the handlebar makes operation simple. A Bontrager Montrose saddle, accessory-ready alloy Elite stem and alloy Crivitz sweep-back handlebars complete the cockpit. The included rear racks also feature drybag holsters that are designed to carry 8-liter drybags. Rear rack weight limit is 25lbs. Up front, the included front rack can hold up to 15.5lbs and is attached to the fork crown instead of the handlebar for better shifter and brake line routing.

Bicycle touring can be more than just a ride to a B-and-B somewhere out of town. Tours can start and finish in your hometown after a trip around the world!
Long distance tours that last for weeks or even months on end require an exceptional bicycle. A purpose-built touring machine will make every mile easier when loaded down with a tent, panniers, sleeping bag, and food for weeks at a time. The frame needs to be strong and stable, while the drivetrain should be ready for day-long hilly excursions. With all that extra cargo you'll probably have on board, disc brakes are practically required to help reign in speed on steep descents. Trek has been building the 520 since the 80's, ensuring that it is one of the most refined dedicated touring bicycles of the last 30 years.
Butted cro-moly steel is an excellent choice for a touring bicycle's frame. Durability and ride quality is needed for every mile, and the 520 Disc's frame has it covered. The bike can carry up to 275 pounds of total weight (rider+cargo+ total weight of bicycle), making it more than ready for a rider who packs two of everything. Mounts for, well, everything are found throughout the 520 Disc's frame, including bottle cages, front and rear racks, fenders and even a pump peg at the back of the head tube for a full-length frame pump. Tire clearance is generous, allowing up to 40mm tires for a comfortable ride on rough and choppy pavement. An alloy fork with disc brake caliper mounts and low-rider rack eyelets is equally up to the task. The front and rear Bontrager racks shown in the photos are included. Cool, huh?
The drivetrain of the 520 Disc is different than other road bicycles due to the expectations placed on it by long-distance tours. The easy gear ratios need to be really easy, especially when tackling double-digit inclines while loaded down with cargo and camping gear. The Alivio triple crankset's 48/36/26T chainring combination is matched to an 11-36T Shimano cassette, providing a generous gearing range needed for multi-week tours in mountainous terrain. Shimano's adjustable-reach 9-speed Sora dual-control levers bring the bike's shifting and braking to your fingertips. The Alivio long-cage rear derailleur features a Shadow-style "tucked-in" design that works better when shifting under hard pedaling loads. A Shimano Sora front derailleur handles gear changes duties up front. Bontrager's tubeless-ready alloy Affinity Disc wheels are built with 36 spokes each, offering exceptional ride quality and impressive strength. 700x38c Bontrager H1 Hard-Case Ultimate tires soak up rough pavement, while reflective sidewalls add an extra dash of visibility after dark. TRP's Spyre C 2.0 cable-operated disc brakes bring excellent stopping power to the 520 Disc, even in wet and sloppy conditions. Bontrager's Evoke saddle sits atop an alloy Bontrager 2-bolt seatpost, while an accessory-ready alloy Bontrager Elite Blendr stem and alloy Bontrager Comp VR-C road handlebar complete this expedition-worthy touring machine.

The Boone 5 is the result of years of testing in the mud and slop found in professional cyclocross racing.
Cyclocross is a terribly rough environment for a bicycle: Abrasive mud, clouds of dust, intense efforts and the occasional unplanned landing in the grass. Trek's first-gen Boone went through that environment on its way to Pan-Am and national championship victories. Now the Boone has been revised and updated with technology from Trek's road bikes for even better performance.
The ultralight frame material is the same -Trek's exclusive 600 Series OCLV carbon fiber- but the refined frame design gives the new Boone an even smoother feel and improved power transfer to the rear wheel. The 2019 version of the Boone now features 12mm thru-axles on both ends rather than the QR rear and 15mm thru-axle front from the last generation. This reduces overall weight and improves torsional strength at the rear triangle for hard efforts out of tight corners and up steep inclines. The E2 tapered head tube and BB90 bottom bracket remains as well, preserving handling and power transfer respectively. The rear IsoSpeed decoupler and Ride Tuned seat mast are forehead-slapping works of genius, allowing the frame to flex vertically over rough surfaces. By adding a second IsoSpeed decoupler (also seen on the Domane SL and SLR road bike) at the top of the head tube, the Boone's ride quality has been "evened out" for a better feel over long gravel excursions. Little details like an adjustable 3S chain keeper and Control Freak internal cable management make the Boone an even better choice for a long service life. The Boone's flattened top tube is easy to grasp and more comfortable to shoulder on run-ups.
SRAM's 11-speed Rival levers and Rival rear derailleur bring a positive feel to gear changes, even under hard pedaling loads. An 11-32T SRAM cassette and single ring SRAM Rival 40T crankset delivers a wide gearing range for tackling roller-coaster courses. Bontrager's tubeless-ready alloy wheels are shod with 700x32c Bontrager CX3 Team Issue cyclocross tires, adding race-ready rolling stock to the Boone 5. Helping to reign in speed is the job of SRAM's Rival hydraulic disc brakes installed on flat-mount hardpoints on the frame and fork. Disc brakes boast excellent lever feedback and functionality in wet and sloppy conditions.
A Bontrager Montrose Comp saddle, accessory-ready Elite Blendr stem and alloy Race VR-C road handlebar complete this competition-ready machine.

When the chips are down and the mud is flying, you want a no-holds-barred cyclocross bike that is up to the challenge.
The Trek Boone 7 has been developed from racing in the mud of Flanders and the hardpan of the Midwest. A light and nimble feel along with a rugged design allows the Boone 7 to fly up hills and still take a beating on rough, technical courses. Make no mistake, this isn't a "pretend" 'cross bike that was really meant for gravel touring. World Cup victores and national championships tell the story.
Trek's engineers could have rested on their laurels after Katie Compton won her record 15th national championship on a Boone. But they didn't. They wanted to improve the Boone from its first generation, and make the bike even better for a wider range of riders and courses. Trek kept the same carbon fiber "recipe" as last year: 600 Series OCLV carbon fiber, ensuring a featherweight frame with incredible torsional strength. Start-line sprints and steep inclines require a bike with a rock-solid feel when stomping on the pedals, and the Boone delivers with a flex-free BB90 bottom bracket. A tapered E2 head tube adds precision to the Boone's handling on technical courses while 12mm thru-axles front and rear improve lateral rigidity for carving corners at high speed. The IsoSpeed decoupler found at the seat tube/top tube juncture uses a pair of cartridge bearings to add more vertical compliance to the Boone's ride quality. Rough courses can tire anyone too quickly, but the Boone's IsoSpeed technology takes the edge off the harshest surface elements. The Ride Tuned seatmast and cap gives the bike even better compliance compared to any garden-variety seatpost. Up front, the engineering team at Trek have added the same front IsoSpeed decoupler found on the latest Trek Domane. The Boone now feels much more balanced without producing a distracting "pogo stick" feel from the handlebar when hammering out of the saddle. A flattened top tube is more comfortable when shouldering the Boone, and vanishing fender mounts make the bike an easy choice for commuter duty in the off-season. Flat-mount disc brakes and internal cable routing give the Boone a clean, refined look, while an adjustable 3S chain keeper prevents dropped chains (and possibly lost races) on the roughest of race courses.
Shimano GRX 1x drivetrain is a perfect match for the Boone 6, employing a single rear derailleur for simplicity and reliability on mud-covered race circuits. The GRX RX810 rear derailleur features a clutch that keeps chain tension tight, preventing dropped chains and adding an extra dose of precision to every shift. An 11-34T Shimano HG800 cassette and a 40T single-ring GRX crankset offer a just-right gearing range for 'cross racing. Textured lever hoods offer a comfortable grip on bone-shaking courses. Waterloo World Cup, anyone?
Bontrager supplies the rolling stock on the Boone 6, including tubeless-ready alloy Paradigm Comp 25 wheels and 700x32c Bontrager CX3 Team Issue cyclocross tires. Burly wheels and knobby tires are required ingredients in cyclocross. Thru-axle hubs add an extra dash of torsional strength for handling prowess on technical courses. In rally car racing, they say you're only as fast as your brakes are good, and Trek uses Shimano RX400 flat-mount hydraulic disc units on the Boone 6. Mud? Dirt? Rain? You'll get consistent lever feedback and stopping power in all conditions. A Bontrager P3 Verse saddle, alloy Pro Blendr stem and alloy Elite IsoZone VR-CF drop handlebar complete Trek's best 'cross-winning machine.

Sometimes the bike industry needs to do a collective forhead-slap when they see a bike like the Checkpoint SL 5. Why doesn't everyone make a bike like this! VeloNews was so impressed, they gave the Checkpoint SL 5 their Bike of the Year award for 2020!
The Checkpoint SL 5 takes plenty of great features and combines them to make a brilliant all-rounder. It can take on plenty of weeklong adventures and still commute to work on Monday. Trek's exclusive 500 Series OCLV carbon fiber makes up the Checkpoint SL 5's frame, making it very light yet incredibly strong for excellent handling and power delivery. The fit of the Checkpoint is more upright, allowing a wider range of riders -and rider flexibilities- to get comfortable easily. A tapered head tube/steerer tube interface adds to the Checkpoint SL 5's handling precision, while a press-fit BB90 bottom bracket ensures flex-free power delivery with every pedal stroke. Out back, the adjustable Stranglehold thru-axle dropouts allow the rider to tweak the bike's wheelbase, adding stability for rough surfaces or heavy loads. The Checkpoint's all-carbon fork is also thru-axle equipped, adding an extra dash of handling precision.
Little details on the Checkpoint SL 5 add up to huge versatility, including a 3S chain keeper that prevents dropped chains (and greasy fingers), asymmetrical chainstays for better tire clearance (up to 45c!), a rear IsoSpeed decoupler and Ride Tuned no-cut seatmast to soak up fatiguing vibration. Downtube-mounted Carbon Armor defends against rock strikes, while mounts galore allow for racks, fenders and bottle cages to be installed for weeklong adventures or just rides across town.
Shimano's latest 11-speed update of their GRX gravel/adventure component group are found on the Checkpoint SL 5. The latest updates to this world-beating setup includes features found on mountain bike groups, improved functionality, and user-friendliness. The new GRX rear derailleur is now a Shadow-style unit, increasing cassette capacity up to 34T, as well as tucking it under the chainstay for more precise operation, especially under hard pedaling loads. A clutch mechanism helps prevent dropped chains on rough surfaces. The new GRX front derailleur's toggle pivot design is much more compact, easier to adjust, and improves clearance for wider tires at the cage's trailing edge. Shimano's engineers have increased the rigidity of the GRX 36/30T crankset with a massive hollow bottom bracket spindle. The lighter GRX dual-control levers have a wider range of adjustment for smaller hands, as well as improved lever hood texture. Less effort is needed for each shift, too. An 11-34T Shimano 105 cassette brings a massive gearing range to the party, making challenging inclines less intimidating. The flat-mount Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brakes found on the Checkpoint SL 5 help regulate speed with excellent lever feedback and sheer stopping power, rain or shine. Tubeless-ready alloy Bontrager wheels are shod with Bontrager's 700x40c tubeless-ready GR1 Team Issue semi-treaded tires, giving the Checkpoint SL 5 excellent grip on road, gravel and hardpan surfaces alike.
Bontrager's Montrose Comp saddle, accessory-ready alloy Elite Blendr stem and alloy Elite IsoZone VR-CF road handlebar completes this epic-ready machine.

Trek's Checkpoint SL 6 gets a few upgrades from last season. Somehow, it costs less!
Technology mixed with decades of engineering experience at Trek has led us to awesome machines like this. Trek's 500 Series OCLV carbon fiber makes up the frame, producing a very light chassis. Need even wider tires? The Checkpoint SL 6 will take rubber up to 45mm wide, thanks to a roomy fork and a clever "dropped" drive-side chainstay. Got plenty of stuff? Rack mounts, fender mounts and up to 4 bottle mounts let you install all kinds of bags and accessories for multi-day adventures. Are the "roads" barely worthy of the name? The Checkpoint SL 6 has your back with an IsoSpeed decoupler and Ride Tuned seatmast at the top of the seat tube/top tube juncture. This allows the frame and seatmast to comfortably flex when attacking washboard hardpan, pavement transitions and railway crossings. A stable geometry and a low bottom bracket add confidence on loose surfaces. That comfort doesn't come at the cost of handling and torsional strength, though. A tapered head tube and rock-solid BB90 bottom bracket adds strength for precise handling and flex-free power delivery. An adjustable Strangehold thru-axle rear dropout can adjust the wheelbase by as much as 15mm, offering a longer wheelbase for stability, or a shorter wheelbase for the more classic feel of a road bike. Loose surfaces can mean lots of "roost" from spinning tires, but the Checkpoint SL's Carbon Armor will protect the downtube's bottom from flying stones. Control Freak internal cable routing is not only sleek, but also eliminates noisy cable rattle. Front and rear 12mm thru-axles bring an extra dash of torsional strength for razor-sharp handling.
The Checkpoint SL 6 is equipped with Shimano's latest 11-speed Ultegra "R8020" components, adding precise operation, excellent durability and very low weight to the bike. The hoods of the dual-control levers have been reshaped and retextured, giving the rider better grip while reach adjustability has been kept for riders with smaller hands. The new rear Ultegra RX derailleur boasts a Shadow-style low profile design and a clutch brought over from mountain biking. The lever-operated clutch helps prevent chain drops and chain slap on rough terrain. The Shadow-style rear derailleur requires less hand strength to operate and is also less likely to get snagged by trail-side branches and rocks. The front derailleur is also redesigned, with the same toggle-style mechanism found on the newest Dura-Ace unit. The trimmed tail of the front derailleur's cage adds clearance for wider tires on a short-wheelbase bike. Flat-mount Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes add confident stopping power in all conditions as well as excellent lever feedback. The stainless steel and aluminum IceTech Freeza rotors disperse heat much faster than all-steel rotors; helpful when descending fast while loaded down with cargo. A 50/34T Ultegra compact crankset and 11-34T Shimano HG800 cassette boasts a huge gearing range for challenging climbs and steep descents.
Bontrager's Paradigm Comp 25 alloy wheelset is tubeless-ready and weighs only 1675 grams (that is not a misprint). These light wheels are laced with 24 stainless steel spokes each, and are ready to take on gravel fire roads with Bontrager's tubeless-ready 700x40c GR1 Team Issue tires. The 25mm internal width of the rims allow the tires to spread out for better grip and handling. The Bontrager rear thru-axle hub is equipped with a Rapid Drive 54 freehub, allowing faster engagement with every pedal stroke. A Bontrager Arvada Comp saddle offers a comfy perch for multi-hour (or multi-day) rides and races. An accessory-ready alloy Bontrager Pro Blendr stem and alloy Bontrager Elite IsoZone VR-CF road handlebar complete the cockpit of this gravel-conquering masterpiece.

Trek has taken the gravel racing world by storm with their Checkpoint SL carbon fiber bikes. This is their best version of the Checkpoint! Peloton Magazine even called the Checkpoint SL 7 "freakishly fast"!
Every mile of a gravel adventure is tougher than the same ride over pavement. The bike needs to be light, smooth and -above all- tough as nails. The design team at Trek didn't cut corners for low weight or high strength. They used Trek's proprietary 500 Series OCLV carbon fiber to build the frame of the Checkpoint SL 7, ensuring feather-lightness and high torsional strength for instant power transfer. The frame's carbon fiber "recipe" also smoothes out rough surfaces at every point between the dropouts. The heart of the Checkpoint SL's ride quality magic is the IsoSpeed decoupler and no-cut seatmast at the top tube/seat tube juncture. This forehead-slap simple technology soaks up sudden impacts from harsh surfaces, making it an excellent choice for attacking washboard surfaces, crumbling fire roads and gravel paths for hours (or days) on end. A tapered head tube and 12mm thru-axles all add an extra dash of sharpness to the bike's handling, especially during high-speed turns and descents. The rear dropout is an adjustable Stranglehold sliding unit that allows the rider to change the wheelbase and tire clearance. A long wheelbase will improve stability in loose or sandy conditions, while a shorter wheelbase quickens the handing. The rear brake caliper mount moves with the left dropout, eliminating guesswork when making adjustments in the field. The aforementioned brake caliper mounts are also flat-mount versions, reducing overall weight further. Mounts for racks and fenders and up to 4 water bottles are found throughout the Checkpoint SL 7, bringing versatility to the bike. Control Freak internal cable routing keeps brake lines tucked in and rattle-free, while downtube-mounted Carbon Armor prevents chipped paint from flying debris off the front tire. If even wider tires are part of your Checkpoint SL 7's build, it can accept rubber up to 45c.
The Checkpoint SL 7 boasts cycling's latest tech: 12-speed wireless shifting from SRAM. Called eTap AXS, this is SRAM's cutting edge shifting technology, allowing a single-ring bicycle to run a gearing range of a cross-country mountain bike. With no wires, cables or housing to snag or foul, the Checkpoint SL 7 has a reliability advantage when charging across mud, dirt and gravel-strewn surfaces. A set of Force eTap AXS dual-control levers operate a SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS mountain bike rear derailleur, bringing lightning-quick operation (literally!) to every gear change. Time between recharges of the removeable derailleur-mounted battery is 25+ hours. A massive 10-50T SRAM Eagle cassette delivers 12 speeds along with a 40T single-ring SRAM Force D1 carbon fiber crankset. A unique SRAM Flattop chain with improved durability does power delivery duty.
Bontrager has been in the wheel business from the beginning, and the Aeolus Pro 3V wheelset found on the Checkpoint SL 7 is a classic example of their commitment to improving products for diverse needs. The "3V" designation is for their 25mm wide tubeless-ready version, allowing treaded gravel tires to produce a wider "footprint" on any given surface. Ready to take tubeless tires with sealant, gasketed valve stems and rim strips (sold separately), the Aeolus Pro 3V wheelset is better than narrower road wheels for rough terrain and long miles. The characteristic shallow aerodynamic rim profile is still there, making the wheelset an excellent choice for windy conditions in all directions. The cassette driver boasts 108 points of engagement, nearly eliminating "free play" with every pedal stroke. Weighing only 1575 grams for the set, Aeolus Pro 3V wheels won't hold you back when attacking challenging terrain or ferocious headwinds. Or both. Bontrager also supplies the 700x40c GR1 Team Issue tubeless-ready tires, offering excellent traction and a smooth feel over hardpan, gravel and broken blacktop.
SRAM Force hydraulic disc brakes cover stopping duties with excellent lever feedback and stopping power, even in wet and muddy conditions. Bontrager's Pro IsoCore VR-CF OCLV carbon fiber handlebars add an extra layer of defense from fatiguing vibration as well as keeping total bike weight very low. An accessory-ready alloy Bontrager Pro stem and Bontrager Arvada Elite saddle finish off the cockpit of this high-performance adventure machine.
A SRAM eTap battery charger is included with the purchase of this bicycle.

With nimble handling and very low weight, the Crockett 5 Disc will impress on the 'cross course or on the road!
The Crockett 5 Disc was built with cyclocross racing in mind. That being said, all of the Crockett models serve any rider well if they're looking for a spring training bike, lightweight commuter, or "low-intensity gravel" bike. The Crockett 5 Disc is the most affordable machine of the series, built around a hydroformed 300 Series Alpha aluminum frame and all-carbon fork. The frame's tubes have been hydroformed, keeping weight low and torsional strength high. The top tube is flattened, making for easier shouldering on muddy run-ups. Control Freak internal cable routing keeps the Crockett 5 Disc looking clean as well as protecting the rear derailleur cable from dirt and water. A tapered head tube anchors the large down tube effectively, adding an extra level of handling precision during high-speed corners and descents. The BB86.5 press-fit bottom bracket ensures flex-free power delivery with every pedal stroke; a critical attribute when charging uphill towards the finish line. Out back, the Crockett 5 Disc is equipped with an adjustable Stranglhold 12mm thru-axle rear dropout. 15mm of fore-aft adjustability lets the rider tweak the Crockett 5's wheelbase for improved mud clearance or a more nimble feel. Want to switch to single-speed? The Stranglehold dropout is perfect for adjusting chain tension. The 12mm thru-axle also enhances the strength of the bike's rear triangle, reducing lateral flex in the frame. The Crockett 5's IsoSpeed Cross fork is not only light (due to being a fully carbon fiber build from steerer to dropouts), but also soaks up fatiguing vibration. Flat-mount disc brake caliper installation on the frame and fork helps reduce overall frameset weight, but also enhances brake lever feedback and improves pad wear. A 12mm thru-axle at the fork dropouts adds an extra layer of handling precision.
The Crockett 5 Disc needed a drivetrain that could put up with muddy conditions while still getting the job done. Enter SRAM's Rival 1 components.
SRAM's single-ring Rival 1 dual-control levers and rear derailleur make for a lightweight, low maintenance drivetrain. 11-speed shifting across an 11-32T SRAM cassette is done with a single "DoubleTap" button on the right Rival 1 lever. A sense of adventure requires the right bike to help you follow your ambitions. Be it racing or just exploring, the Crockett 7 exceeds expectations.
Cyclocross bikes used to be afterthoughts in the minds of leading bike manufacturers, but that has changed drastically in the last few years. The Crockett 7 is a classic example of how seriously Trek takes this no-longer-obscure end of the sport. Refined geometry, light weight, a smooth ride and innovative design make the Crockett 7 a true standout. Trek's refined cyclocross geometry really shines on twisty courses, but the Stranglehold thru-axle rear dropouts can adjust the wheelbase fore-aft as much as 15mm, improving stability on rough surfaces. Increased tire clearance can be tweaked with a few tools and a few minutes of work. Trek's own 300 Series Alpha aluminum is used to build the Crockett 7, ensuring light weight and quality control at every step. The aluminum has been shaped and hydroformed to provide excellent power transfer, giving the rider confidence on start lines and steep ascents. The now-familiar tapered head tube adds an extra dash of handling precision during high-speed turns and descents. A press-fit BB86.5 bottom bracket anchors the crankset for flex-free power delivery, especially on steep ascents. The Crockett 7's top tube has been flattened for comfortable shouldering and improved ride quality. 'Cross courses are rough and muddy on purpose, and your bike needs to be survivable in that stuff. The mud clearance on the Crockett 7 is generous to say the least, and can accept up to 38mm tires front and rear. Trek's clever Control Freak internal cable routing keeps shifter cables clean and tidy, while an adjustable 3S chain keeper helps prevent frustrating chain drops. Up front, a carbon fiber IsoSpeed fork with a 12mm thru-axle dropout helps keep overall weight low while soaking up fatiguing vibration.
Shifting components on a cyclocross bike experience brutal conditions, and SRAM's Force 1 components are ready for the challenge. A single-ring drivetrain makes total sense in cyclocross racing, helping to reduce overall bike weight further while ensuring reliability, especially on race day. SRAM's 11-speed dual-control Force 1 levers and a medium-cage Force 1 rear derailleur shift the chain across an 11-32T SRAM cassette with a refined feel. An alloy Praxis Alba crankset and direct-mount 40T narrow-wide chainring does power delivery duties.
The Crockett 7's tubeless-ready alloy wheelset is designed for messy, muddy adventures. Bontrager supplies the Paradigm wheelset with a 19.5mm width for a better tire contact patch. 700x32c Bontrager CX3 Team Issue tires bring bags of grip to the Crockett 7, making short work of dirty, muddy and technical courses. Reigning in speed is the job of SRAM's Force hydraulic disc brakes, bringing excellent lever feedback and long service life in all conditions, wet or dry. Flat mount disc brake caliper installation reduces weight and promotes even pad wear as well. A Ti-railed Bontrager Montrose Elite saddle is an excellent component choice compared to ultralight carbon-railed saddles, especially when it comes to durability. Even the best riders make "close-up course inspections"... A 2-bolt Bontrager carbon fiber seatpost also brings race-day durability to the Crockett 7. An accessory-ready alloy Bontrager Pro Blendr stem and alloy Bontrager IsoSpeed VR-CF road handlebar complete this race-ready machine.
