This bicycle was produced by hand in Waterloo, WI, using the same molds and techniques as the Madone 6.9 SSL of the same year. The bicycle uses Trek's proprietary OCLV 110 carbon fiber material for very light weight and impressive torsional strength. An aggressive geometry provides nimble handling and lightning-fast pedaling response, especially during uphill, out-of-the-saddle efforts. Up front, a 1-1/8" Cane Creek external-cup headset holds the lightweight Bontrager Race X Lite OCLV 110 carbon fiber fork. The Madone's cables are all externally routed, allowing easy servicing in the field.
The Livestrong Madone bicycles feature real gold leaf panels on the top tube, down tube and seat tube. Lance Armstrong's signature appears across the top tube under the clearcoat. Yellow highlights and custom graphics adorn the bike and many of the components.
Shimano's 10-speed 7800 Dura Ace components are found throughout the bike, including the dual-control levers, both derailleurs, both multi-pivot brake calipers, and the 12-25T cassette. Long service life and precise operation can be expected for years to come from Shimano's best pro-level components. A Bontrager crankset with carbon fiber arms, 53/39T chainrings and matching custom graphics is an impressive centerpiece to the Livestrong Madone. Bontrager Race X Lite alloy wheels also feature custom yellow spokes and carbon fiber hubs, and are wrapped with 700x23mm Bontrager tires. A Bontrager carbon fiber seatpost, Bontrager saddle, Race XXX Lite carbon fiber stem and OCLV carbon fiber handlebar also boast custom yellow graphics.

The Top Fuel 9.9 could be the best full-suspension XC racer on the planet. It's absurdly light at less than 25 pounds (!!) when set up tubeless. The main frame and rear suspension arms are all made from Trek's exclusive OCLV Mountain carbon fiber, bringing incredible strength to handle every pedal stroke over rough trails. The air-adjustable RockShox Pike Ultimate suspension fork helps to tame rock gardens and challenging course features with ease. 120mm of travel soaks up impacts, while a bar-mounted lockout twist-lever shuts off the shock when charging along hardpan and jeep doubletrack. The rear shock is also a RockShox Deluxe Ultimate unit, bringing 115mm of travel and the aforementioned lockout function.

For many riders looking for a high-performance endurance bike, the Domane SLR 7 Disc will check all the right boxes. How well? Bicycling Magazine awarded the Domane SLR 7 their Bike of the Year award for 2020!
The Domane series of bicycles are developed from the experiences of Trek's Factory Racing Team over many years of racing over the worst roads in Europe. From the cobblestones of Roubaix to the gravel roads of Tuscany, racing the Domane has brought new lessons to the engineers at Trek. The Domane SLR is the ultimate expression of Trek's commitment to building and improving high-performance endurance-category road bicycles.
To build the frame of the Domane SLR Disc bicycle, Trek used their proprietary 700 Series OCLV carbon fiber for incredible strength and feather-lightness. This material has been used in Trek's race-winning Madone road bicycles, guaranteeing excellent strength-to-weight attributes. From the start, Trek's engineers knew that the fit and geometry of the Domane SLR needed to be easy to fit a wider range of riders. Called Endurance Geometry, the bike's slightly shorter top tube and taller head tube allows the Domane SLR 7 Disc to fit more riders -and rider flexibilities- with greater comfort during multi-hour rides and races. The slightly longer wheelbase of the Domane SLR 7 Disc produces a more stable feel over rough surfaces, reducing rider fatigue. Power Transfer Construction is the name given to the Domane's frame architecture. With it, the overall tube shapes of the Domane SLR's main triangle are shaped to add torsional strength that is critical for flex-free power delivery, especially during hard climbing efforts up steep grades. Aerodynamics was considered for the Domane series for the first time, and Trek's renown Kammtail Virtual Foil (or KVF) frame shaping was used throughout the Domane SLR 7. Battling headwinds just got a little easier! Even the cables were tucked behind the headset and steerer tube to reduce overall drag. Internal storage in the down tube is a clever solution to clumsy seat bags hanging off the saddle rails. There's even an aperture for a multi-tool in the door under the front bottle cage. Cool, huh? The tapered head tube anchors the all-carbon fork for a more precise feel during high-speed turns and hard braking. Torsional strength is also reflected in the press-fit BB90 bottom bracket, improving pedaling response further. Both hub mounts are 12mm thru-axles rather than open dropouts, adding even more torsional strength for improved handling. The all-carbon IsoSpeed fork reduces weight further, while disc-brake-specific carbon construction ensures predictable stopping power.
With all that going for it, the Domane SLR 7 Disc would be an excellent performance machine, but Trek didn't stop there. The real magic of the Domane SLR comes with the IsoSpeed decouplers found at the front and rear of the top tube. At the back, the IsoSpeed decoupler is adjustable. With the loosening of one bolt under the top tube and the damper bolt at the back of the seat tube, a slider can be moved to add or subtract vertical flex from the bike. This clever feature allows riders needing more or less frame compliance to adjust their bicycles at the roadside in only a minute. Different rider weights, different terrains and different surfaces can all be compensated for with the adjustable IsoSpeed unit. The Ride Tuned seatmast itself is designed to respond to bumps and harshness much better than a classic seat post while still reducing weight. Up front, the IsoSpeed unit at the top of the head tube takes the edge off of harsh surfaces. By isolating the steerer tube from the frame's head tube, the Domane SLR 7 Disc's fork can absorb 10% greater vibration and impacts better than the previous generation.
The Domane SLR 7 Disc has several useful features scattered about the bike to make every mile just a little better. The adjustable 3S chain keeper eliminates roadside stops and greasy fingers due to dropped chains. Vanishing fender mounts add versatility for commuters and riding in wet conditions. An aperture for a DuoTrap S speed/cadence sensor (sold separately) in the left chainstay eliminates the need for unsightly zip-ties, while internal cable routing keeps the Domane SLR 7 Disc looking clean.
The Domane SLR 7 Disc is equipped with Shimano's updated Ultegra Di2 derailleurs, 50/34T Ultegra compact crankset and 11-34T Ultegra cassette for optimum shifting performance and long service life. Shifting is done with Shimano's "8070" Ultegra Di2 dual-control levers, offering improved button feedback, a more comfortable lever hood and adjustable lever reach for smaller hands. Shimano's Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes bring excellent stopping power and lever feedback in all conditions, wet or dry. Shimano Ice Tech Freeza rotors disperse heat to reduce brake pad wear during repeated hard stops. The tubeless-ready





The Felt IA2 might be the rolling definition of an "unfair advantage".
Above 30kph -about 18mph in old money- a rider spends about half their energy just pushing through the air. That's also assuming that the air is completely still. When a headwind comes into play, riding faster gets even harder. Why not let the bike help to reduce the workload? The Felt IA2 is designed to do exactly that. In fact, the IA2 is so good at cleaving the air like a hot cinder through jell-o, the Tour de France wouldn't allow it in a time trial! Triathlons, however, are not limited by such rulebooks. Felt knew they could let their design staff run wild, and this is some of their best work to help you go faster.
Engineering and developing aerodynamic speed machines takes technology and know-how, and Felt has plenty of both. Felt's own UHC Advanced carbon fiber is used throughout the frame and fully-carbon fiber fork, bringing an outstanding stength-to-weight ratio to every mile. Computational Fluid Dynamics software -or CFD- is used to perfect the frame and fork shape of the IA2 before a single plastic mock-up is sent to the wind tunnel. Once the shape has been refined, prototypes are sent to Felt's professional athletes and put through the meat grinder of the pro triathlon circuit. Triathletes riding Felt IA series of triathlon bicycles are undefeated at Kona as of 2019, allowing them to give valuable feedback to Felt's design team. Felt's UHC Advanced carbon fiber is a "recipe" of different raw forms of carbon fiber to bring feather-lightness, high torsional strength, and a smooth ride quality to the IA2.
The details make all the difference when seconds count, and the IA2 has them covered. Flat-mount disc brake calipers and internal cable routing offer a super-sleek profile to the wind, while a press-fit bottom bracket anchors the crankset for flex-free power delivery. Integrated top tube storage for gels or even a smartwatch makes yet another aspect of race day hassle-free. Deep fork blades and a blended fork crown help manage air turbulence effectively, making the deep-chord down tube work even better at high speeds.
Drivetrain duties are handled by Shimano's revolutionary Ultegra Di2 electronic component group. Instead of cables and housing, servo motors move the derailleurs with lightning-quickness. So quick, in fact, it even prolongs the lifespan of the chain. Shifter buttons are found at the end of the aero extensions and the end of the right brake lever. With more than one position to operate the drivetrain, the rider can shift while standing out of the saddle. Just try that with bar-end mechanical shifters! Shimano Ultegra front and rear derailleurs are powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery submerged inside the seat tube. Charging is done at the junction box at the IA2's head tube. Time between recharges is usually between 900-1000 miles. A Shimano Ultegra 52/36T alloy crankset and 11-28T Ultegra cassette adds a wide gearing range for challenging high-speed courses and fast bike splits.
Deep-section carbon fiber Reynolds AR58/62 wheels cleave the air better than shallow alloy hoops, and are lighter to boot. The front AR rim is 58mm deep, while the rear rim is a deeper 62mm. The deeper the rim cross-section, the lower the drag. 700x25c Continental Grand Sport Race tires keep rolling resistance low as well. Handling speed control duties is a set of TRP hydraulic disc brakes, featuring 140mm rotors that boasts excellent stopping power in all conditions, rain or shine. The IA2's ISM PS1.0 saddle is padded for comfort when the rider is in an aggressive position during extreme efforts. It sits atop a wing-shaped UHC Advanced carbon fiber seatpost/mast that reduces the crossing of turbulence from left to right, keeping the air managed more effectively. The base bar is installed on a direct-mount stem, adding torsional strength when pedaling out of the saddle. The aero extensions and forearm pads are also adjustable, ensuring a comfortable fit for short distance events to long-course IronMan races.

Trek has taken the gravel racing world by storm with their Checkpoint SL carbon fiber bikes. This is their best version of the Checkpoint! Peloton Magazine even called the Checkpoint SL 7 "freakishly fast"!
Every mile of a gravel adventure is tougher than the same ride over pavement. The bike needs to be light, smooth and -above all- tough as nails. The design team at Trek didn't cut corners for low weight or high strength. They used Trek's proprietary 500 Series OCLV carbon fiber to build the frame of the Checkpoint SL 7, ensuring feather-lightness and high torsional strength for instant power transfer. The frame's carbon fiber "recipe" also smoothes out rough surfaces at every point between the dropouts. The heart of the Checkpoint SL's ride quality magic is the IsoSpeed decoupler and no-cut seatmast at the top tube/seat tube juncture. This forehead-slap simple technology soaks up sudden impacts from harsh surfaces, making it an excellent choice for attacking washboard surfaces, crumbling fire roads and gravel paths for hours (or days) on end. A tapered head tube and 12mm thru-axles all add an extra dash of sharpness to the bike's handling, especially during high-speed turns and descents. The rear dropout is an adjustable Stranglehold sliding unit that allows the rider to change the wheelbase and tire clearance. The rear brake caliper mount moves with the left dropout, eliminating guesswork when making adjustments in the field. The aforementioned brake caliper mounts are also flat-mount versions, reducing overall weight further. Mounts for racks and fenders and up to 4 water bottles are found throughout the Checkpoint SL 7, bringing versatility to the bike. Control Freak internal cable routing keeps brake lines tucked in and rattle-free, while downtube-mounted Carbon Armor prevents chipped paint from flying debris off the front tire. If even wider tires are part of your Checkpoint SL 7's build, it can accept rubber up to 45c.

The Defy series of road bikes was designed to carry a rider over less-than-perfect surfaces, keeping them fresh for a final climb or finish line sprint. This is the Defy flagship for 2019, built around Giant's own Advanced-Grade Composite carbon fiber frame and fork. Astonishing lightness and an upright fit are only the opening features of the Defy Advanced Pro 0's frameset. The frameset's carbon fiber "recipe" was redone for 2019 to provide a more compliant ride and improved torsional strength. The faceted MegaDrive down tube takes advantage of the new carbon fiber layup, improving overall frame strength and pedaling response. In addition, the 1-1.25"-by-1.5" tapered OverDrive2 head tube/steerer tube adds precision to the Defy Advanced Pro 0's handling, especially in fast turns and descents. A press-fit PowerCore bottom bracket also eliminates power-robbing flex at the crankset. Internal cable routing keeps the Defy Advanced Pro 0 looking clean and sleek, while an aperture in the left chainstay fits the included RideSense speed/cadence sensor without the use of clumsy zip-ties. Flat-mount disc brake installation promotes more even pad wear over time as well as better brake lever feedback. The bike's overall geometry feels stable over rough and choppy pavement without handling like a Winnebago.
Shimano's iconic Ultegra group gets a full redesign with their 11-speed Di2/hydraulic disc brake "R8070" version. The new dual-control levers have been substantially reshaped from the previous ST-R785 version, making the levers more comfortable for riders with smaller hands. The lever reach is also more adjustable than ever. Under the levers' hood peak is a flush button that can be programmed (with Shimano's E-tube software) to operate the rear derailleur. Shift buttons have a more positive detent, making operation with heavy gloves much easier. The redesigned Shadow-style Ultegra Di2 rear derailleur features a more tucked-in profile for improved aero drag and faster operation while shifting under load. The front Ultegra Di2 derailleur has a reprofiled cage that reduces the chance of interfering with a wide rear tire. As always, the front Di2 derailleur automatically trims itself as the rear derailleur moves the chain across the cassette. Cool, huh? Up to 900 miles of riding can be done on a single Di2 battery charge. The recharging aperture is located in the right handlebar end, and has a charge indicator light for ease of use. An Ultegra compact crankset comes with a 50/34T chainring combination, bringing a wide gearing range to the Defy Advanced Pro 0. An 11-34T Shimano Ultegra cassette brings up the rear.
The SLR-1 wheelset found on the Defy Advanced Pro 0 is tubeless-ready, disc-specific and built from Giant's own Composite carbon fiber. Yes, you get carbon fiber wheels straight off the sales floor with the Defy Advanced Pro 0! The lightness, aerodynamics and smooth ride quality of carbon fiber hoops are already on the bike! Wrapped with 700x32c Gavia AC 1 tubeless tires, the Defy's handling over rough and choppy pavement will redefine what a bike can do for a rider looking to cover more miles over unpleasant pavement (or lack thereof...). A Power Pro dual-sided power meter will transmit vital metrics to any popular ANT+ head unit (Garmin, Giant NeosTrack, etc.) including watts, cadence, left-to-right pedal balance, and force angle with the aid of a multi-axis accelerometer. 150 hours of operation on a single charge makes training and riding endurance events worry-free. Use a Giant RideLink smartphone app to check battery charge, assist in calibration and update firmware.
Giant brings a proven (and head-slappingly simple) technology to the Defy Advanced Pro 0: D-Fuse. The bike's D-Fuse Composite carbon fiber seatpost has a D-shaped profile, allowing the post to flex backward about 10-12mm when tackling rough pavement. A Contact SL saddle, alloy Contact SL Stealth stem with internal cable routing and carbon fiber D-Fuse road handlebar completes this century dominator.

The stable handling, long wheelbase and upright fit of the Domane + allow a wider range of riders to get comfortable for long rides over pavement rough and smooth. With up to 350 watts and 63Nm of torque on tap, the Domane + fears no incline, and is ready for rides with the weekend fast group. A bar-mounted Bosch Purion controller with a large LCD display shows the 4 power-assist modes: Eco, Tour, Sport and Turbo.
The SRAM drivetrain on the Domane + will feel familiar, with an 11-speed Force 1 dual-control lever covering shifting duties. A medium cage SRAM Force 1 rear derailleur moves the chain across a wide-range 11-36T SRAM cassette with precision. SRAM's Force hydraulic disc brakes help keep speed in check in all conditions, rain or shine. The calipers are installed flat-mount style on the frame and fork for even pad wear and better lever feedback. Trek's current Madone has helped pro racers win some of the most prestigious victories in professional racing, including the 2019 world road championships in Yorkshire. Attaining that technological masterpiece is not quite as expensive as it used to be. Welcome to the Madone SL 6 Disc for 2020.
The Madone has been acclaimed as a brilliant aero bike, with very low drag to cheat the wind. The original Madone SLR Disc also boasts incredibly good ride quality -not just for an aero bike, but for road bikes in general- due to an adjustable IsoSpeed seat mast. This clever element of the Madone SL's frame uses a slider on the base of the L-shaped IsoSpeed structure under the top tube. By moving the slider forward or backward, the seatmast can be made stiffer or softer, depending on rider weight, expected riding surfaces or ride distance. Triathletes will appreciate this, knowing that a smooth ride will benefit them during the run. Century riders will also smile, knowing the bike will still be smooth on broken tarmac. Racers will like IsoSpeed since the freshest rider is most likely the fastest in the final sprint to the finish.
Very light weight is still part of the Madone SL's attributes, thanks to Trek's exclusive 500 Series OCLV carbon fiber used throughout the frame. By using newer flat-mount disc brake installation and an H1.5 fit geometry, the frame of the Madone SL 6 Disc cuts weight in the right places. Like the current Madone SLR, Kammtail Virtual Foil (or KVF) tube shaping in used throughout the Madone SL's frame and fork, making the bike one of the slipperiest road bicycles today. The flattened trailing edge of the frame and fork tubes (the "Kammtails") make the bike far more resistant to gusty crosswinds compared to a classic teardrop shape, as well as cutting weight off the bike. An aperture in the left chainstay for a DuoTrap S speed/cadence sensor (sold separately) cuts aero drag by eliminated the need for clumsy zip-ties. Even the 3S chain keeper at the crankset has been given the low-drag treatment. A stout BB90 bottom bracket anchors the crankset for flex-free power delivery with every pedal stroke.
The Domane SL 6 disc uses Shimano's latest R8000 version of their venerable 11-speed Ultegra component group. This ensures precision functionality, long service life and light weight. Here are a few of the highlights:
- Redesigned dual-control levers and lever hoods that feature adjustable lever reach and a more comfortable textured grip
- A Shadow-style rear derailleur that improves shift quality and takes up to a 30T rear cog
- A Toggle-pivot front derailleur that requires less hand strength to shift to the large chainring
- A 50/34T compact crankset with a more flattened profile for better aerodynamics as well as stiffness for better power transfer
- Hydraulic disc brakes with improved heat dispersion and 160mm rotors for improved stopping power
An 11-28T Ultegra cassette and Ultegra chain add a wide gearing range for challenging courses, as well as precision shifting and low drivetrain friction.
Bontrager supplies the tubeless-ready Aeolus Comp 5 Disc wheelset and 700x25c R3 Hard-Case Lite tires, adding an extra aerodynamic weapon to the Madone SL 6's arsenal. A 50mm deep rim with a bullet-nosed profile not only slices the air in a wider range of wind angles, it handles better in gusty crosswinds. The Madone SL 6's Bontrager Aeolus Comp saddle is a new design that enhances comfort for riders in an aggressive aero position. A conventional alloy Bontrager Pro Blendr stem and alloy Elite Aero VR-CF road handlebar accept clip-on aero bars for triathletes seeking a better bike for technical courses.

When the chips are down, and you're in the biggest event of the season, you want a bike that won't hold you back.
The Trek Speed Concept was built to dominate different disciplines, not just a Tour de France prologue or the Kona coast. Trek brought its finest engineers and computing power together to make the Speed Concept slice through the wind better than anything built today. The Speed Concept's main purpose is to keep aerodynamic drag as low as possible while still complying with the UCI's frame shape regulations for time trial bicycles. The Speed Concept's aerodynamic Kammtail frame shape was proven back in the 70's at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, when long-tail racing cars needed to cope with dangerous crosswinds at over 200mph. The truncated trailing edge of the frame's tubes fools the air, keeping drag numbers low without the extra weight of a full airfoil cross-section that is easily tossed around in crosswinds. Trek used Computational Fluid Dynamic software to dial in the exact Kammtail shape for light weight and torsional strength, not just a clever aerodynamic profile. When the Speed Concept prototype went into the wind tunnel, it confirmed to Trek that it could be useful for any athlete racing alone against the watch. When pedaling, the turbulence created by the rider's legs can be a major drag problem that can negate all the work done by the engineers. When the "fill-ins" around the seat tube/top tube juncture and bottom bracket were added, there was a major drag reduction compared to the last generation of the Speed Concept. Even the new brake-boosting Speed Fin on the bottom bracket helps manage the airflow laterally, preparing the air to be sliced by the rear wheel.
The Speed Concept's Kammtail Virtual Foil -or KVF- frame shape isn't the only thing that Trek can brag about; the OCLV carbon fiber material makes the bike incredibly light for such a refined aero machine. Trek uses their 500 Series OCLV carbon fiber to not only make the Speed Concept lightweight and strong, but also enhance the ride quality by using different layering to take the edge off rough pavement. A harsh-riding bike will tire a triathlete prematurely, and a time trial racer might make mistakes in the closing miles when seconds count. Internal cable routing through the aerobars and stem give the Speed Concept the cleanest profile of any TT/Tri bike in the industry. All that might lead a rider to belive its a hard bike to fit, but Trek offers plenty of sizes in integrated direct-mount stems and aero bar mounts. From an aggressive "prologue" TT fit, to a more upright Ironman fit for the less flexible among us, the Speed Concept can accommodate more riders with a wider range of flexibilities.
The details found on the Speed Concept add to the bike's excellent aerodynamic performance. Hidden brake calipers and internal brake cables reduce drag around the upper half of the frame, while a reverseable aero seat post helps with a wide range of fit positions. An aperture in the left chainstay allows the installation of a DuoTrap speed/cadence sensor (sold separately) without the use of clumsy zip-ties. Mounts for a Draft Box accessory box at the back of the seat tube keep a repair kit and tubes tucked out of the wind, while similar mounts for a gel-storing Speed Box on the top tube keep the bike's aero profile equally preserved (storage accessories sold separately)
The components on the Speed Concept needed to be able to keep up with the cutting-edge frameset, so Trek chose Shimano's updated 8000-series Ultegra component group. Many of the improvements are obvious, such as the Shadow-format rear derailleur that hides out of the wind better than most rear mechs. The flatter profile of the 50/34T compact Ultegra crankset helps improve aero numbers, and yet torsional rigidity is increased over the previous generation. Even the front derailleur requires less hand strength to operate. The front derailleur's steel cage adds to the shift response and is much more durable than aluminum. An 11-28T 11-speed Ultegra cassette boasts a huge gearing range for roller-coaster courses. Shimano Dura-Ace bar-end shifters bring fingertip operation to the Speed Concept as well. Bontrager's Race Lite aero levers help cut through the air with a low-profile shape and feel better in the hands than aero-focused sharp-edged levers.
Bontrager also brought an aerodynamic advantage to the Speed Concept with an excellent high-performance wheelset. Bontrager's Aeolus Comp composite carbon fiber wheels boast an aluminum brake track, ensuring a predictable feel in wet and messy conditions. The wheels are tubeless-ready, allowing the user to eliminate the inner tubes that actually increase rolling resistance in the tube/tire combination. The ability of the sealent to deal with minor punctures is also a nice bonus on race day. Bladed aero spokes help cut aero drag further. T
