Since the introduction of the Madone 5.1 WSD last year, the rest of the cycling community has been playing catch-up to match the value, performance and design of this bicycle. The carbon fiber frame is handmade in Waterloo, WI with Trek’s OCLV White carbon, producing unmatched stiff-to-weight performance while still maintaining good road feel. The comfort-enhancing seatmast, ultra-stiff “net-molded” bottom bracket and enhanced frame shaping found on the Astana pro bikes are found here, too. Shimano’s 10-speed Ultegra SL components are a perfect compliment to this frame and can be had with a double or triple crankset, along with the lightweight Bontrager Race wheelset. The geometry and fit of the WSD frame is complimented with a Bontrager WSD saddle for better comfort over long rides. The Madone 5.1 WSD is available in the following sizes: 47, 50, 52, 54 and 56cm.
