2009 Trek 2.3
With the 2009 2.3, Trek continues to keep the flagship of it’s aluminum/carbon-framed bicycle. Using custom-drawn Alpha Black aluminum tubing for the main triangle and TCT carbon fiber in the seat stays, the 2.3 has a light and efficient backbone with the same geometry as the performance fit Madone carbon bicycles. The agility and handling is the same as the Tour-winning all-carbon bicycles at a more affordable price. Shimano’s 105 components include the shifters, cassette and front derailleur with an Ultegra rear derailleur. Even the crankset -compact double or triple- is a Shimano 105 unit. Bontrager’s blade-spoked Race wheels and Race Lite tires make for a light and very aerodynamic combination. Bontrager handlebars, stem, saddle and seatpost complete an excellent bicycle. The Trek 2.3 is available in the following sizes: 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62 and 64cm. The 2.3 is also available as a WSD model in the following sizes: 47, 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58cm. The 2.3 WSD comes with adjustable reach brake levers for smaller hands, Bontrager shallow-drop FIT handlebars and Race FIT saddle.
