Zipp 202 Tubular Wheels

Sizes:

700c

Zipp’s 202 tubular wheelset weighs only 1095 grams. Yes, you read that right. 38 whole ounces.  The Zipp 202 wheelset is a racing wheelset that climbs like a jet fighter on full afterburn. Frank and Andy Schleck rode 202s to a 1-3 stage finish at Le Grand Bornand in the 2009 Tour de France.  This year, Andy grabbed the stage win and the yellow jersey at Morzine-Avoriaz with Zipp 202’s. Carlos Sastre rode them when he grabbed the 2008 Tour de France with a victory at l’Alpe d’Huez.
Zipp triathlete Jan Frodeno won an Olympic gold medal on the 202. Proving its durability, the 202 became the first carbon wheel to finish the bike-devouring Paris-Roubaix when Garmin-Slipstream’s Martijn Masskandt rode it to a 4th place finish in 2008.
To get to the base of the climb, the 202’s 32mm toroidal profile was developed in the wind tunnel to roll on the flats as efficiently as many 45-50mm rims. After the summit, the 202’s high lateral stiffness delivers precise handling on technical descents to pull away from your competition.
The Zipp 202 wheelset is built on Indianapolis-made hubs –the 88 front/188 rear- that are tough as nails, yet smooth for miles of trouble-free rides.  The proprietary VCLC manufacturing process used in building Zipp’s tubular rims ensures long life and incredible strength.  Yes, the signature Zipp dimples are there, too.  Even the lightest rims are given the best aero treatment.  All Zipp wheels built since 2009 have a 2-year warranty.
